shadows casting forward
pastel edges
of water colored nebulous scenes
once known

i fuse with deja vu
in its feather-like fringe
i beg for the meaning
of history reliving

perhaps it’s a maze
tho’ previously scripted
funhouse mirrors silently mock
our own carnival

or is it a wink?
the north star is nodding
a slight innuendo
we’re not lost at sea

perchance it’s a hint
it is all an illusion
a glitch in the matrix
the black cat walks by

i grasp for the answer
and peer at the ghostly
parchment paper dream
as it dissolves to thin air

you are the one person who knows me better than i know myself
because as much as i promised i'd keep my walls sturdy
you managed to get me to break them down myself
and as each day passes
not once do you cease to make me smile
so i could say that i fall in love a little more everyday
and it's so ironic how what you should know, you never will
but the rest of the world does, and all they can do is cheer from the sidelines
and hope that one day you'll open your eyes and see
how i've fallen so deep into your spell already
that i subconsciously guide you through the maze
that leads to the one secret i hold so dear

I am lost,
In this desolate place in time and space
Slowly floating into nonexistence
A life of not doing
But being.
Who knew space was like a maze?
The dead ends replaced with black holes
That **** you up into their worlds.
A world of darkness,
With tiny dashes of light.
***** of gas burning me alive.
A world of suffering,
But a world of beauty.
I don't believe I mind the pain.
Glancing at Earth from billions of light years away
A tiny ant.
We are nothing.
Our lives are only a minuscule fraction of this universe,
So along I go,
I couldn't find my place in my world,
So I floated through space
To find my place in the universe,
But this maze has overcome me
I don't think humans were made
To experience life in the sky.

I could't stop loving you,
Even if I tried everything.

I don't know if this is reality
Or am I dreaming
Can't make sense of the world
My mind is in a whirl
Lost on the path I've made
Stumbling as I make my way
To the end of the maze

A lantern in the night.
A sword in the dark,
I hear a sound,
but I will not dart.

The mission is too clear,
there is too much at stake.
I will continue down this road,
and I will accept my fate.

The dead rise around me,
but I won't say a word.
They walk with me,
assembled in a herd.

The glow of my light guides them,
through the silver maze.
I will be the first out,
I will get out of this daze.

They look and see
The quiet surface of me,
Slight waves of personality.

They don't know what I hide
How strong my tide.
The depth of my sea,
They simply cannot see.

They will never be
able to swim to my depths,
or reach my upmost steps
Couldn't possibly stay afloat when I've wept.

To see what lives in the deep darkness of me,
There is not enough breath to explore beneath chest.

I am a labyrinth.. I confess.
No one will ever truly know you, know know.

ai has taken over
i am a one... a zero
i am nobody's savior
i am nobody's hero
i am a hard worker
i'm for the common good
free thought is forbidden
that is understood
inspiration nil
my identity is sold
i walk and talk and carry out
whatever i am told
i'm now only a plastic chip
to fit into the mold
i work for the single eye
that controls the gold
and i will continue
'til i'm worn out and old
i am just a drone bee
working for the queen
i navigate the comb-maze

I found out that I couldn't find myself in this labyrinth of lies that I had made.
*I was lost inside my own maze.
