Transient happiness
Drought in our heart
Emotionless
Passionless
Love’s an oasis
We are
Weary travelers
Unaware of
The ramifications
Of unloved Earth
Nature’s revolt
Will encage us
Within our faults
Overzealous we are
Perilous future
Awaits us
Matthew Rousseau Feb 2015
One can build a house,
Or even a thousand more,
But still they're a mouse,
Hide under the kitchen floor,
To see above would drive it mad,
The wonders are divine,
The fear numbs one and they're not sad,
The knowledge makes us blind,

But aspire to be,
Know you're small, but stretch sea to sea,
Claiming land you all can see,
But can you all be?

A question old as time,
strikes the clock and we rewind,
Oh no our fates have fallen,
We were grand, but never mind.
The first lines I wrought, was a joke and a hoax. A child with a pen, imagination ran thin. This is why my first poem, was just a joke from within.

a riddle came to mind and a battle raged inside. For it fought and persisted whether to be riddle or rhyme.

Riddle of the demon ment to trick those who hide. Rhyme of the angels  To comfort the kind. Hellfire scorches all light from the sky. Angels become violent for the sake mankind.
Ok so I find this interesting mostly because I don't recall writing it. It has to do with my other two poems on here. But I wrote this just a few months ago I'm guessing.

Most read book,

Bound in tolls,

Blood on its hands.
Oh! For those blissful days,
When all seemed fair and true,
When nothing died or perished,
And belief came without proof.

The destructive nature,
Of mankind's hungry mind,
Would be gone forever more,
Hatred would be confined.

Despair would never grow,
Fear completely crushed,
Pain ignored without effort,
Doubt finally hushed.

The sky would shine like rubies,
As the disk of bright gold sets,
The grass and trees made of emerald,
As all worries I could forget.

Mankind has one thrill;
Questions without answers.
For if there are answers,
There are no more questions.
Without questions,
Mankind loses their purpose.
Fill the void and figure out
Why we are here and for how long.

Merely a dot in the cosmic arena
Minuscule is our world
Compared to the vast universe
Our significance, merely negligible
Often, to be lost in the limitless
We make a herculean effort to glorify
The differences between us
Yet, we are all similar
Making the same mistakes
Our only abode
Not any other place we know
We can go and retire
This is the paradise we have
Let’s beautify this further
Plant more saplings of love
Aroma, so intoxicating
The universe shall be proud of our existence

A reclusive heart
With a bundle of joy
Willingly hands out
Treasures of happiness
To those who seek
Born free
And has the master key
To unlock the hidden chambers
Of happiness
Each one of you shall own one
Unlock the treasures
Within you
Pass on the key
To the one in need
You will have
Passed on a fortune
Make this a privileged world
Stars will shine brighter
And night’s more beautiful
Sun will shine brighter
Over the reclusive heart

Beautiful thoughts
Are meant to roam free
Travel far and wide
Seeking beautiful hearts
Build a reality
Of which we are proud of
Rainbow of thoughts
Bridges across horizons
Sparkling ideas
With plethora of hope
Reaching every soul
With thoughts
We touch the core
Of human beauty
No boundaries and constraints
Everyone is equal
Let this thought propagate
Let us be the torchbearers
Congregation
Where everyone joins
With an open heart
It’s a beautiful world
