His smirk erupts into a robust guffaw.
I hear a laugh that could save the world,
a catalyst for an astounding explosion within me.
My heart gushes with a kind of pleasure
that few have ever known.
My cheeks, feeling as if they’ve caught fire,
turn rosy and inflate to their fullest.
As my smile extends from ear to ear,
my entire body radiates endless warmth,
emanating what can only be described
as the purest love,
unconditional and eternal,
throughout the Universe and spreading across all space and time.

'To cease to exist is what I am after.'
I thought silently, then I masked it with laughter.
I looked in the mirror, cursed my reflection
Then I winked at it as a playful banter

I swear my head is a house of slaughter.
You better lock your doors and mark your borders
As I come like wolves to happy mortals
And destroy all hope like a rain of mortars

I stand in a crowd, let the people pass me by
The flood of smiles as I'm trying not to break down and cry
A hurricane of lies spins the web of our demise
A purpose is a disguise when the times are hard

I count to ten, twice, let the storm calm down.
But the waves come crashing down from the starboard bow
I either swim or sink, so I live or die
But I cannot swim when my thoughts are paralyzed

Happy Birthday, my dear mother,
your smile makes me as happy as one can be,
there are no words that I could use,
to describe how happy you make me.

I cried whilst writing this,
but I cried with a smile on my face,
because you’re so special to me,
my heart reserves for you a place.

You are the cause of my happiness,
the source of my laughter
you make every day worth living
you are my happily ever after.

There’s just no one else like you,
you are unique - in every way
and I want you to know
that I really mean what I say

when I say that I love you
I really do love you.

You are so strong,
and when you hold me, you make me calm
your embrace is so warm

I love you, mom.
I was worried it wouldn't be enough for someone like you, but mom. You deserve everything I can give.

she waits for the days when their eyes will meet again. the days when his arms keep the rest of the world out in order to let her in. the days when his smile beckons her to drop the armor at his feet and present her raw, vulnerable self to him. the days when her eyes drink him in slowly and deliberately to savor the memory.

until then, her laughter rings out over hundreds of miles. his caring questions touch her heart just the same. his musings about random topics never fail to rivet her. her smile lingers long after their talks, and her love never dies.

A childhood returns
For a day.
For a moment.

Laughter fills the room
Like before
They first left.

The sound of drizzle on the rooftops brings back memories.
Memories of the years
that leave a few tears
beneath your eyes.

Sometimes it is astonishing
when you realize
how quickly time flies.
It takes you on a roller coaster ride
over the sharp edges of life.
Along the way you experience precious moments
that make you appreciate life.
Some moments of laughter,
some moments of tears and
some spent in melancholic thoughts.
These moments often transform into memories.
Memories of the times you spent,
the faces you saw
and the battles you fought.

When you hear the sound of raindrops
drizzling on the rooftop.
Sometimes it brings back memories.
Memories of those years
that often leave a few tears behind.

After all, what are we without these memories?
Mere mortals made of space dust and mundane miseries.
We go through life, dealing with both loss and gain.
All those transactions can't be repeated,
but the memories will always remain.

So rain, fall harder tonight
and bring back those memories.
Memories of the moments
that provide us an escape
from a life of mundane miseries.
Just something I thought of in a fly. I hope you like it. As usual, I leave it open to your interpretations. It is pretty simple and straightforward anyway.

melancholy as I may be,
the world has not halted on its axis, as I may believe
the robin still sings, bringing in the new day
the sun still ascends in the east, filling the day with its warm glow
and descends in the west, leaving a haunting chill behind
the people still dance under street lights
and roar with laughter in the glimmer of the sun
the moon still fills the world with beams of white light,
bringing in the new night
now I realize that your world still spins
but mine has halted
- goodnight sun
