My beautiful rose
My beautiful rose

As beautiful as the day is long,
No one knows why she blooms.
She blooms through the storm
whether the vase is ceramic or poreclin,
My beautiful rose.

She is most beautiful because she isn't an ordinary rose.
She finds the sun in any weather.
She says more than what a dozen roses can say.
My beautiful rose.

Beautiful as the day is long.

By chance if you find my beautiful rose.
Speak to her in a language she understands.
A language only the heart understands.

She uproots her self and spreads her heart.
Finding the sun in any weather.
No one knows why she blooms
But by chance you see my beautiful rose
You'd soon understand.
Why she blooms the way she does

Spreading her joy.
The way she blooms
If by chance you find my beautiful rose.
You'd know exactly why she is my beautiful rose

Sometimes I think you are a fairy.
Everytime you appear everything gets better.
It's always unexpected.
Not that I don't expect you to show your pretty face.
It's how you appear.
Seeing you whole.
Though curious to where you hide your wings.
No matter how many times I mix my words up
You know just what I am saying.
Reaching into your bag, sprinkling your dust as you please.
My mouth covered a thousand times over, your essence.

Your words fly right out of your mouth.
And like that I am in awe.
One feeling at a time.
It's funny, how beautiful you are.
The way you sprinkle your pixie dust.
You know just how to pick me up.
The twitch of your nose.
The dimple that forms in your cheek.
The world a distant place.
This moment spent ensuring our distance.
The rest of me in your bag.
I acknowledge how special you are.
I'd never place you in a jar or any form of glass.
I'd never misuse any part of you.
My heart being the concrete that cushions the way you walk.
Your lips the fascination of the sun.
The bigger problem is how you always seem to find me when I am at my lowest.
And how I can never catch you off guard.
Never.
Your whisper in my ear.

Sinking into your presence

I felt your kiss against my lips,
Long before realizing how much I needed you.
I wish I could explain the depth of how much I drowned in the pool of your

eyes,
How much my eyes have wept the times you were nowhere to be found,
You have shown me the definition of your name, as to how important you are.
Your name, the feel of you against every thought.
That was the defining moment of my life,
The precious thoughts that go on with no end in sight,
The sensation that arrives with every smile
How fragile these thoughts really are.
The distance between you and I
the press of your lips against mine, untold truths revealed with something so

simple, the depth of sinking, becoming every morsel soaked in your mouth.
The nights spent wondering if you thought of me the way I've thought of you,
These feelings kept deep, sealed in a bottle hoping you'd return but soon

realizing there wasn't a bottle big enough to keep these thoughts of you,
I didn't want to, truth of the matter I never did,
Sitting there by the coast of you longing to sail away
Watching you with eyes closed wishing you were here.
To feel your lips against mine,
Eyes seeping deep into yours,
The only thing I've ever seen with open eyes
