A rainbow of emotions
They frolic to and fro

RED(Anger)~
        When you're so mad and can't be happy
        When everything is so upsetting you can barely hold it in
        When everyone's being a *****, and no-one can help
        When life looks at you and laughs

ORANGE(Greed)~
              When nothing can be enough
              When you've gotten so much but still want more
              When mans one weakness takes over you
              When greed bubbles out of you like a chemical reaction

YELLOW(Calm/Tranquility)~
              When you're calm and nothing can disturb you
              When tranquility is all you're mind can think of
              When no one can anger you
              When life seems perfect

GREEN(Sickness)~
            When life's punched you in the face
            When a fever, runny nose, throbbing head take over
            When you're so sick to move
            When you're not even able to think of anything else

BLUE(Sadness)~
          When sadness takes over
          When you cry yourself to sleep over little nothings
          When you don't think anything can get better
          When those who care would do anything to see you smile

INDIGO(Compassion)~
             When you feel compassion for someone or something
             When you'd risk your life to save something else
             When you feel amazing whenever you're near them or it
             When nothing can change how you are

VIOLET(Love)~
            When nothing can change how you feel
            When you'd die for someone's happiness
            When life can never affect you
            When you feel true and total happiness

A rainbow of emotions
They affect you every day
A rainbow of emotions
Only you can make them stay

I am a butterfly of plucked wings,
          colourful hues ground up.
  Now I'm but a past life crawling
beneath where my beauty spanned
               the unending motions of life.

Now I see myself as less than before,
                               a scar of my reality,
I have pain of gracing my wings
in an existence that is past tense.
                     Yet I feel the anguish of every flutter.

I crawl, begging for this abomination
            of fates greed to just let me bury every
thought beneath a stillness of empty thoughts.
               Yet I gaze up seeing the whispers of
every motion beat down upon me.

Mint was the smell in my garden
Wintergreen made my soul harden
Fashionable stockings and
Mintable stocks
Were refreshing and tainted
All the evergreen stalks.

I shouted and campaigned
for a milder need
But desire shot me
and so did greed.

America, I am told, was once a gleaming jewel
cut and polished by men with ***** hands
and set in a western crown worn by Lady Liberty.

America, I hear, had hills full of gold
and rivers full of wishes and they always flooded
and watered the land and made things grow tall and strong.

I heard in a song once that this land was made for you and me,
that America was a place of possibility, prosperity,
and that I can follow my footsteps to find my way home.

Home. Home of the brave. Home of justice,
freedom, faith. Home of color, of pride, and opportunity.
Home of We the People and unity.

But I have never known this America,
and this America has not known me.

America has turned its back to those
who broke theirs in trying to lift her.
America has held the whip for far too long.

America has pulled the plug and
now the drain is clogged with the dying.
America is deaf to their dying songs.

America has told us that
we are right where we belong, but oh,
how she couldn’t be more wrong.

Lust is for the weak of body,
Wrath is for the weak of control,
Pride is for the weak of mind,
Gluttony is for the weak of soul.

Greed is for those who want more,
Sloth is for those who want less,
Envy is for those who want all.

Those are the seven sins, the sins
That break souls like a bug underfoot,
The sins that are uneasy to break,
Even when all your heart's at stake.
