Monster we call protection
Hidden within our own declaration
Wealthy build and succeed
While poor find shelter to bleed
We the people isn't what we imagine
Simply a phrase causing oblivious contemplation

Disease, power, and war for what?
For the sake of being better?
**** this world, I'm done with this lett...

I've written enough poems
about broken promises
shattered resolve, empty chances and
regrets beating at the back of my brain
with a baseball bat...
but not often have I written a poem
about my ability to speak
my ability to not shatter,
but sway resolve
with both a pen and a sword.
I am human,
and while my voice may not be heard
by the whole
I'm running it up the flagpole
to see who salutes
and if nobody does then I'll climb
to the top of this **** building
and scream.

You can't preach about change and then do nothing about it.
You sit behind your TV's and watch as other people take the hit.
You can't help the lesser, 'cause neutrality only helps the oppressor.
How can you fight for the cause by following all the laws?
The battle will never be won while we're living under loaded gun.
Just because your fist is in the air doesn't mean you actually care.
We'll **** out the fake protestors and
replace them with the real go-getters.
Because we are the believers of another fate,
one that doesn't end in violence and hate.
Peace is always the answer, but justice comes first.
We've gotta get out of this country,
because the government's ******* cursed.
I've been inspired by Ferguson and all the people who choose not to have an opinion or choose to do nothing about it.

He read this one and liked it. So, I'm happy. (:

I don’t encourage the courage it takes to blow up a building
Or respect those who expect blind obedience
The factories that distill human suffering for profit
The gasses and poisons that are toxic
The philosophies and doctrines that make humans compliant
To higher authorities without reason and logic
People becoming socially caustic
When compassion is traded for competition
And the fit don’t survive cause the trick is
This sickness is a symptom of human corruption
Greed infecting and spreading hatred and resentment
Neighbors aren't neighbors but gladiators in the pursuit of success
Better cars, better houses, better jobs, better spouses
Denied contentment’s peaceful breath
Tricked into thinking we get more than this width and breadth
So it’s okay to play at barbarity to dress up the bombs with flags and prosperity
And our masters have the right to decide who we should and should not fight
After all even though we were deluded we colluded with our own oppressors
While they trade secrets with our supposed enemies
Sell weapons to allies turn allies to adversaries
And even though we think we chose this
We the people did not accept this sort of justices
We did not vote on this democracy, we the ill-informed masses
Illiterate in the true art of classes and rich distinctions
Of those who seek their own advancement not our improvement
Corporate sociopath with little empathy for the welfare of others
Smother our sister and brothers under the cover of complacency
And what really bothers me is that I am just as much to blame
I coat our pain in pretty words thinking pettily that I am helping
But in the end I am only helping myself feel better for doing **** near nothing
"Kids sure are growing larger these days!"
"Drug abuse is hardly seen!"
"My eyes view only opaque haze...
from the awing abundance of trees!"
"Not a soul took their life this year!"
"And not one harassed for being queer!"
"Bullying?
What is this word you say?"

"My son is not known for
deceiving tricks,
or time spent in various prisons!"
"My daughter is not known
by her shade of lipstick,
in fact, when she speaks
everyone listens!"

"Not one reason to lock your door!"
"Avarice defamed, people are content with less,
rejoicing graciously for!"
"Did you hear of the major contribution
Of food for the poor?"
"I took a moment to watch water drops glisten"

"Predisposed judgements?
Don't make me laugh."
"Ink on the skin is an expression,
and a craft!"
"Those holes in their skin?
That just means they seek more!"

"It never occurred to me
To speak not the truth!"
"My government provides safety
without being uncouth"
"In fact, the president's never aloof
He's stern in his convictions!"

"Our troops have returned
from what they're calling
'the unnecessary war!'"
"BP oil are hanging their heads
to the floor!"
"And all marine life scrambling to shore,
don't worry, with this sanctuary, we be hoof"*

These things were heard on opposite day
And unless thoughts stray
They'll remain this way.
Don't let it waste, or let it fray
Because it matters right here, right now

Its funny how soon we forget.
The Knots in my chest,
Correct me, if I am correct.
We live in a system, within a built in system,
With backup systems, that protect the system.
By making us victim, to our own system.
We trusting a nonanimate object
With intimate aspects, to serve and protect
Via eternal justice, for all human life.
Greed entered the feed, and it cost us
Our bill of rights. Sending women and
Children to fight the systems fight,
It even convinced them, that fighting
Is right? Labeled human beings with
Dog tags, so we think they a low enough life form,
No even a human being, so it’s alright to take their life.
Their system doing the same thing, so it makes it alright.
Too many negatives, I’m positive, will never get it right.
But who am I, I am just a guy.
Who’s social insecurities came from
Social securities the system controlling
Via my social security
Numbers mixed with obscurity
With a credit rating that doesn’t tell the whole story.
A track record that’s way too old;
You see
Between you and me,
The system doesn’t want that to be
As long as there is a greater than,
An equal can never be; it has nothing to do
With me and you. The system designed by a chosen
Few that tell the rest of the world what do, with rules
That allow them to rule, playing us for fools,
Been doing it for generations,
And there generations do it too.
Please re-read and replace the word system with government.
