I am happy
I am sad
I am jealous
I am mad

Smiling
Frowning
Glaring
Drowning
Bhill Jul 2019
Is there time in our life to have
To have that extra
That extra something
That extra something that makes us smile
That smile that creates a happier self
A self that gladly spreads the happiness along
Along to others
Others that without that smile
Without that smile, they would be
Well, they would be frowning
Who wants to be frowning when everyone else is smiling...
Just saying

Smile it out people...
Kurt Carman Oct 2018
Did you ever have one of those days,
That causes more than a few eyebrows to raise?
Black clouds looming inside your head,
And fools rush in where angels fear to tread? (a.pope)

Then start by lifting up just one corner of your mouth
Point it towards the sky, DO NOT go south.
And with your index finger, push up the other flection,
Keep it right side up in the very same direction!

With this smile take a long deep and meaningful breath,
And Sing a song that warms your heart...as your mind forgives & forgets.
Stand tall young one, cause your living in the light,
This day has past but tomorrow you'll reignite!
You don't feel like smiling? Then what? Two things. First, force yourself to smile. If you are alone, force yourself to whistle or hum a tune or sing. Act as if you were already happy, and that will tend to make you happy. Here is the way the psychologist and philosopher William James put it:
"Action seems to follow feeling, but really action and feeling go together; and by regulating the action, which is under the more direct control of the will, we can indirectly regulate the feeling, which is not.

I don't know why I get so down and I
don't know why I keep getting
trapped
I don't know why I can't stay up and I
don't know why I can't stop thinking
of raising
a cup or a glass of something strong
enough to influence me
something to get me high or just
enough to quit the suppressing
choking me back with these thoughts
I can't get rid of
it doesn't take much these days
to get me
down, down, down
lately all I know is my head just spins a-
round, round, round
nothing much to focus on to keep me
from drowning
I don't know what I'm doing but clearly
I'm frowning

Living a sheltered life.
Nothing but strife.
Fighting my own war.
Don't know what for.
Feel like I'm drowning.
Tired of frowning.
Scared of the outside.
But all I wanna do is hide.
Don't have a clue.
I just  don't know what to do.
