White skies over Galleria Mall Arad Romania again,
Angel Evelyne arrives, singing about
love, looking beautiful and amazing things

Among the young Stars
laughing near silence
where children await

Now blue stars fade
into happy beginnings
then love for children once more.

I felt I was in a magical
place when I heard her voice?

I was so absorbed in her song,
It made a connection between us.

All talking and laughter had ceased,
There was no one else but her and me.

I found myself looking at her;
The more I looked,
The more I listened.

No matter how hard I tried,
I could not turn away,

Because, I did not want to miss a thing.

She's a powerful and strong princess,
With magical super powers.

She thinks of time's past,
She thinks of times yet to come.

She loves to travel through Europe,
But her dreams are of Japan,
And singing under Sakura trees in the springtime of Japan.

I notice the way she thinks about Japan always with a smile,

She likes to use words like 'Sakura flowers' and 'Yukata Kimono from Japan.'

She likes to hang out with Monica, Dad and Grandma,
But when left alone,
Her mind turns straight to Sakura flowers in
The springtime of Japan.

She hates mosquitos and cold,
But she just thinks back to springtime in Japan,
And she's happy once again...

Today will be the day,
A day!
The world will change,

It's a glorious Morning,

With a voice so bright and cheerful, like a sunny morning after a stormy night,

Singing to innocent children,
You are the best children in the world.

She sings to help others in need,

She sings of noble deeds;
Changing the lives of children with her music,
One of the noblest quests anyone can achieve,
She has Angel wings,
By Saving and changing the lives of children,
She changes the future and the world.

She sings of admirable actions;
To build a child’s spirit,
To take away a child's tears,
To take away a child's fears,
To teach a child to care for others,
She teaches children to sing.

She admires children,

She sings of selflessness;
She sings without thought of profit or reward,
She feels the suffering of lonely and sick children,
She wants no flattery from the world,
She wants to see children achieve their dreams,
She wants to do the right thing and only to help others in need.
Selflessness is its own reward.

She sings of compassion;
She listens to children speak of their dreams,
She feels concern for a child's feelings,
She encourages children to follow their dreams,
To never give up hope.
She teaches children to sing to others, to do good things,
She helps children anytime anyplace.

The untold sacrifices she has made in her life,
That changed the world with her music,
On this beautiful day.

We would meet,
You in your world,
I in mine,

And look up at the
Bright full moon,

While wondering,
What kind of world this is;
To leave children crying,

How can we save this world?
How can we change children's lives?
How can we touch the sky?

You and I have different views of the sky,

You and I have been together,
For a long time,

Time has past,
Yet our friendship still lasts,

You and I agree on one thing,
When you sing;
You bring light into this dark world,
And save the children's lives,

I want to say, Thank you! Thank you! ...

I was asked, “Have I ever met someone with super powers?”

Yes. I have.

She has super powers;

She helps people whenever she can,
Without expecting anything in return,
She never says, "No." when someone asks for help,
Even at to the risk of her life and health,

She can make you smile with a single word,
She brings the sunshine on stormy days,
She sings songs with many languages,
To make the world a happier place,
She brings a party wherever she goes,

She is compassionate,
She has changed the world with her song.
She saves the lives of children with her love and music,
She takes away your pain with a wink and a smile,

I've even seen her fly above the ocean's waves.

Yes!  I have met a Super Hero.

How about you?

i.
i’ve been working on
breaking down the walls
that i spent
so long
building up, hoping
that she might
peek through the holes
and want to join me
in my abyss.

ii.
the others came instead.

i waved them over the mess
hesitantly
and tried to smile as they
surveyed what lay behind.

iii.
it was only as the clouds descended
and laid their tears
across the pavement
that i felt the pain
of letting the old stones
litter the ground.
lightning struck my
exposed chest
and the blocks
fired nerve endings
with every crack
of thunder.

iv.
the urge to line the bricks
and spread the
mortar is undeniable

v.
but i’m still waiting
for her

to come by and tell me
that i don’t need them.

i have lost the ability
to distinguish
between
the physical inability
and my own unwillingness
to stopper the words
that pour
from my lips and
my pen, and my
heart.

i have this thought
(though i know that
it has no real merit)
that if i let them
drip
eventually the ripples will reach you

and you’ll understand.
Meghan C Aug 2014
i.
i want to tell you
that i think

ii.
you’re beautiful

(you are)
(i do)

iii.
but i’m afraid that you’ll
see past
what i really mean
and find the simplicity
of the words
more captivating.

iv.
i want to describe to you
the way in which my heart beats
when i hear the syllables
that form your name

but then you might
smile
with pity in your eyes

v.
because you know
that if i’m able to
say it

vi.
it’s probably already
a lost cause.

all i want
is to read the braille
that is written on
your skin
when my fingertips
leave trails
of goosebumps
