my legs took me to a sandy shoreline
in a cold beach where I sat and wept
the spaces between my ribs ache
due to blistering darkness
and aching apartness
that left an abyss
and gave birth to
poethood
of vain
words
and
stained lines
that brought hopes
of starting fresh
but time and again
a small crevice brings back
dead dreams and decayed deceit
screaming to be avenged the way
Heathcliff takes his vengeance until
he drops his will and resolves to let go.

Ok, I'm got something a little different in store!
This form of poetry is called an 'Etheree', a poem that consists of 10 lines of 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10 syllables. An Etheree can also be reversed (which is what I did here)  and written 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1.
Today, my mom treated me and my sister to some cakes in a lovely Bistro not far from us. I'm a lover of lemon cakes but they didn't have any - only lemon meringue tarts which I agreed to try with some Jasmine Tea ;)
Man, they were both delicious! And the music took me to a small cafe in Paris! This is the beginning! The next part will be out tomorrow, hopefully!

Moon
gently
shines as the
river flows free
And I hold my breath
as the sunshine of stars
morphs into the Heaven's gate
The grass waves with the lake's slumber
as the leaves fall and drifts soft and slow
And I dream of the treasure trove of Spring

And so it starts, the swing of Lanterns
So smooth as the winds begin to howl
Spring will blossom on the morrow

Heads feeling better now! After having a lovely talk with Robin about HP and experimenting with different poem styles, I decided to do something new! This form of poetry is called an 'Etheree', 10 lines of 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10 syllables. I remember doing these as a warm-up in uni. What I did here was a Double Etheree, so it goes 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 10, 9, 8, 7, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1 syllable-wise!
I've got more poems on the way so thank you everyone!

Sultry
Eyes speak of
Impulsive thoughts.
Combine together
As one, our lust and love.
I hear my name unspoken

Denying acceptance, support and love,
force is the only weapon he chose,
his inner demon got unleashed,
a punch destroyed her credence,
his abuse scarred her skin,
she's locked in a cage,
purple lesions,
broken ribs,
bruises,
wounds.
Run,
escape,
leave that filth,
this is not love,
you are not alone,
you do not deserve this,
pick up the remains of you,
open the door to happiness,
you are strong enough to breathe again,
and learn to see beyond the grief and pain.

a ledge
with nothing there
to grasp - on edge.
The height has me scared
all alone on this wall.
Can’t find the person I am

This is a revision of a previous poem, “Stuck to You.”  The first stanza comes from a nightmare I had this morning.  The poem is also my attempt to write a poem using a form new to me. It is called an Etheree Poem. The rhyme scheme is my own and the Etheree form does not specify whether it needs to rhyme or not. It was fun writing it. Also, the way I wrote this is actually a Double Etheree. I have discovered from another website and a friend here the following: The poetry form, Etheree, consists of 10 lines of 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10 syllables. Etheree can also be reversed and written 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1. Or you can get creative and write an Etheree with more than one verse, following suit with an inverted syllable count. Reversed Etheree: 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1 Double Etheree: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 10, 9, 8, 7, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1 ...Triple Etheree, Quadruple Etheree, and so on.

Into skin
Patterns emerge
Secrets not for me
Obvious but hidden
Questions arise, why that design
What meaning does it hold for you
Flowers, skulls, lighthouses, birds and words
Intoxicating as they explain why
The reasons why they’ve changed themselves now
Into who they’ve become today
Remembrances and just because
It was pretty, it helped
Because life is hard
