When the magistry has ended, /
The echoes of repose begin to resound; /
Although there is, there has been a great wanderer in me, /
The beckoning has not ceased, /
Nor has my heart been claimed in abeyance. /

A story, one with risings & fallings, /
One with an unfalteringly great divide, /
Has bestowed a parcel from on high; /
The Winds, The Earth, The Ocean, The Sun, The Moon, /
They are the pulse of this Grand Tapestry. /

When we are enraptured, /
By ensorcelled irides /
We become; /
Sometimes being enamored /
Means our journey is re-willed; /
Moreover, we see the world with Brand New Eyes. /

Allowing every experience, to re-modulate my thoughts & feelings /
I realized uncertainty was not a barrier, /
Rather, it was my nexus to transcendence. /
Having a time & space in which to reflect, retrospect, & introspect was an aegis, /
Now real & authentic happiness is no longer distant /
And faith is near. /

It's when you blush, my heart explodes
Maybe because, the things I know
Like how I love to hear your laugh
Or how I want to make this last.

Maybe it's how you look at me
Or how you sound when you're sleepy
Could be our laughs laying in bed
Or just the way your nose turns red.

I missed your voice and sharing songs
And looking at the calm blue dawn
Or it might be - I'm glad to say -
How this feels right in every way.

It's funny how how the wind with words so eloquently spoken
Speaks only of how you are malevolently broken...
This is a description.

Waves arrive at the shore
tired of such
   entanglement.
Your enamored stare;
Like the moon
    Stares at the sun.

In your hair you retain
White sand and a sea flower.
     You adorn my sight
With a bright reflection.
   and the ocean enraged,
              Mirrors our love.

i want you,
in every way there is to want a person.

from lazy rainy days
sitting around in underwear,
wrapped up in the covers
enveloped in each other.

to lustful late nights
high happy and in love,
too absorbed with each other
to focus on anything else.

i want you.
and i see so much in you
that counting all your perfections
would be like counting the stars,
there's too many to keep track of
and they just seem endless.

i am utterly in love
with every inch of your being,
every corner of your mind
and everything in between

i might not know what i believe
or where i'm going
or what i'm doing,
but i do hope
you'll hold my hand
and wander blindly with me.

because as long as i'm with you
i don't need a destination,
you are the journey.

i am simply enamored with your entity,
captivated by your character,

fascinated
infatuated
amorous

in love.
lowercase is intentional :-)

Of the one i’m addicted
And his presence,
Could be make me be enamored through and through.

You completely captivate me
totally enamored of You
captivated
infatuated
enamored
obsessed
and so much more

Counting on You (3 of 10)
a countdown series - poems of decreasing length, each using You as the first and last word
Persephone Salix Mar 2018
'Infatuation!' I chuckled, 'Yes infatuation!'
Only this and a longing
Enchantment - enchantment - enchantment!

Much I marvelled this melancholy worldliness
Eagerly I looked for the fairy tale
And gently you came to me

That moment my soul grew mythic
In there stepped a mystic hopefulness
I was an eagerness and you, a daydream

You became the object of my admiration
Thoughts always wander to your irreplaceable light
Reciprocation made my heart burgeon
Max Alvarez Jan 2018
This morning
In bed with you
My good arm draped over you like the blanket you like to take in the night
I watched your peachy skin begin to glow in the rising sun’s light
I adore your hair
That auburn color that greets me as I wake
I count the seconds of my life with each and every breath you take
And what beautiful breaths you take
I love when you wrap your leg around mine
And our fingers intertwine
For moments that I can only describe as forever
We become one
Until I whisper something silly in your ear
Because your laugh I love to hear
Truthfully, I just love you, my dear
