Crazy, crazy, crazy.
It is tiring trying to tackle this Q stuff,
From a first person perspective.
All this far out quasi side-history,
Drenched in hate of every kind.
Divisive as all hell,
A kind of game within itself
To distance us from each other more
Rather than bring us close.
Together we stand, divided we fall
In on ourselves as like
A house of cards

Fighting down my fears
I've got so strong, that even
In my pain, I smile...!
Sometimes, Our fear breaks us down but sometimes, the same fear builds us up to fight the pain...

You may have seen me
When I was folding my arms
Never did you noticed
How high I could fly

You may have seen me
When I was bedridden
Never did you recognized
How strong I am

You may have seen me
When I was stumbled
Never did you noticed
How gracefully I rise

You may have seen
My vulnerability
Never did you realized
How carefully I craft
Admiring it as
The Masterpiece

Probably you just have capacity
To see the partial truth
Never did you embraced
The absolute

It’s at my toes, it begins to rise
Ebbing and flowing, just like the tides
It’s coming in quick, and going out slow
How long I can stay here, I do not know
One thing I do know, I better be quick
At my ankles, it’s starting to lick
I look for an exit, but none can be found
I had some calm left, but now it’s unwound
If I don’t find an exit, soon I’ll be swimming
I’d rather not, be fish Thanksgiving
It’s up to my thighs, there’s no time to waste
I feel for anything, I’m searching with haste
It’s reached my neck, a feeling settles in
I start to accept, that I will not win
I take a deep breath, as it reaches the top
I feel as though, my lungs will pop
I reach my limit, and a breath I do draw
At the edges of my vision, darkness does gnaw
Then it’s all black, nothing to see
What has just, happened to me?
Critiques?

Appreciate
The reflection
Looking at the mirror

If you are
Not comfortable with
Your own shade
Who else will?

You know how strong
Your soul is
Remember the time spent
Building up
You know yourself
Like, no other has

I acknowledge
You are more than
So many somebody else
Genre: Inspirational
Theme: You are enough
I feel it in my chest
Tightening of muscles as you clench your teeth
A feeling so strong you feel it in your feet
Push it off, push it off, push it off
Ignore those wearing signs & go about your life
Avoid confrontation
Bad idea
You are a simmering ***
If someone doesn't turn off the fire
You'll get too hot
But these people, these things, this life we live
They all apply this pressure
A tightly sealed lid
Overflow
An explosion
You shouldn't let it but it's a build up of pain
This deep anger never let's you feel the same....
Poem 3— Self Preservation
Ambika Jois May 2016
I wonder if you could tell me
What you saw in my eyes on day one
The day we met had a warm summer breeze
But what did you see under our setting sun?

I ponder until my sky has darkened
What you heard that you didn’t want to let go of
The night we sat in Aya with our eyes widened
But what did you hear through the music of love?

I squander my imagination out of reach
What you could’ve felt on our last embrace
Over the clouds, mourning mountains and seas
But what did you feel about the memories we couldn’t erase?

I surrender my thoughts and dream from yesteryear
What stopped us from erupting every single day?
Through our implosions, we’ve turned igneous and seared
But what good are we if we can’t make it through today?
I wonder, if the quiet and serene Aogashima were to break her silence from 1785 and throw her heat out, how would it appear?
This poem is based on one of my repressed emotions that I felt was connecting with the peaceful yet secretly building Aogashima.

Anger is an emotion;
a feeling that takes over.
I push it down,
saying "No, i wont let you."
But it just mocks me with it's evil laugh.

You trigger it,
you just don't know,
that you're the match that lights my fire,
and she's the cold to keep it down.

I am an mount of flesh,
holding in so many emotions,
but the ones that are the most,
are the ones you shall fear.

Because one day,
she wont keep them down,
she wont be around,
and when they day comes,
you better beware.

For, on that day,
My anger,
My Fire,
is going to ignite.
