He Waits for his wife
Sitting in her lawbreaking bra at the bar

These days she goes by
Kathleen

Something odd is brewing in the kitchen
Even the dog is howling

One mouthful is tempting
But better not swallow

Otherwise, it's a certain trip
To Little Red's recovery room
In response to Thomas Case's "Tom Waits Poem Challenge"

The Effects of Memory
by Michael R. Burch

A black ringlet curls to lie
at the nape of her neck,
glistening with sweat
in the evaporate moonlight ...
This is what I remember

now that I cannot forget.

And tonight,
if I have forgotten her name,
I remember ...
rigid wire and white lace
half-impressed in her flesh,

our soft cries, like regret

... the enameled white clips
of her bra strap
still inscribe dimpled marks
that my kisses erase ...

now that I have forgotten her face.

Victoria has a secret,
and now it's high time
to get this off her chest:
for what seems an eternity
she's endured them.

Far from supporting or uplifting,
instead they get under her skin.
If she lets them slide on the job,
it only makes for awkward
adjustments later.

Still, they used to adore her,
shoulder-to-shoulder,
now they're a form of torture.
True, they were never an exact fit,
but sometimes they worked wonders.

Now, they make subtle digs at first,
but by day's end
they've always left their mark.
It's said to keep one's friends close
but one's enemies even closer,
and that's no stretch.

Maybe it's time to string 'em up and free the ******!

Like a bra
She held my heart
in the right place
Covering my soul from the firey eyes

Bitter than *****
Sweeter than wine
With a kiss
she heals
And heals and heals

I had something like a house
But it was just a place to live in
I had a language
But it didn't express my urges
I had a lot of poeple
But not truly humans
Now; Now i have you
And you are the home
To scream by our words
over the top of my chest

World of moustaches no more exists
Underneath her smile i hid my joys
To release the madness
Control the clouds
and let the rain flow
Splitting the reality of us
Away from
Their horrible happeiness

a snapper hedge lore
and bet in vicissitudes
that little wife arise up
but a purse string prize
here in the piazza today
that change in her suit
a bra fit

I like the feeling of lips on skin
Smeared lipstick
We look silly with my red all over our cheeks
But we don't care about those little things
A big thing is happening
My legs wrapped around your waist
Take off the bra that's lace
Place your hands where you know I like
My eyes roll up into the sky
Lips I bite
Yours and mine
I like the way you roll your hips
And thrusts so good should not exist
hold my hands and whisper things
I've got prints on my thighs
They're a redish white
Don't worry
I like that you hold them tight
We don't need wine to feel this good
I took one look and I was hooked
Eyelashes fluttering
You are sputtering
As you spank me
"God... Yes.."
I mumble into the kiss
One more ****** before you bust
And I go nuts

the devil knows how to play the game on me
out of all those guys, he chose you as the main pawn
what to expect when I was not expecting anything?
he surely trained you well, that I should've expected
you broke through my fortress without warning
just like our very first kiss on that rainy season
the next thing I know, your hand met my bra clasp
and I got no power left to argue but fall hard for you

You were almost impossible to find
and in the void I suffered too much strife
and though with you I feel a bit confined,
having you has completely changed my life.
Impeccable and strong some seem to be
yet near my heart I find they stab and hurt…
Your support to me is reality
From your embrace I will never avert.
Brassiere, my dear, nothing could e’er replace
your loyalty, the hold, and daily hugs.
Rayon, spandex, nylon, and bits of lace
help hold the beating heart behind these jugs.
