With a hint of death
mingling in the air,
the nocturnal snapdragon is
digging wells,
not just for water,
but also as final resting
places for friends back home,
in the garden,
deep within the soil.

Callous hands and feet
speak of insufficiency
and misery under the sun,
the one lone solace comes
with night,
and the partaking of
her body's delicacies,
bringing her innumerably
to the helve,
as she sings heavenly things
about the architecture
we creatures fall
so easily from.

like a stranger,
you bewilder me

i wonder why you don't work
the same way you did before

i can scream and scream all i want
but this is a transitional phase

maybe that's why they call it growing pains.
i love my body. my body is my temple
It feels like the skin has been stripped from my body,
Like I am a raw house unable to contain this feeling.
Sounds are dissonant and salt to the wound.
My synapses are buzzing through every tissue.
I am so whole and yet so incomplete,
Angry, electrified, and scared.
This body of mine does not feel like a habitat.
It is more like a zoo enclosure.
I wonder when people will stop gawking at me
Like I am some caged animal.
I am wild.
I am easily provoked when afraid.
Please do not tap the class.
Please do not feed the animals.
Leave me where the ground cries out in anguish
For the blood of my psyche shed in the tall grass.
I was not made for this.
I am not a performer in some circus, some exotic parade.
They have stripped me of my skin,
And this body does not feel like home anymore.

The Lord of all the Heavens
Chose you as His own
The universe was made by Him
And you are His alone.

Yes, you are Christ's body
We ALL are, in fact
But when some are treated badly
Does the body stay intact?

The hair covers up the eye
It thinks itself more grand
The nose turns up above the mouth
The ear won't understand!

The eye looks at the hand
And because it's looking down
It moves the eyebrows to a scowl
And stares there with a frown!

The hand thinks that it's all that
Because it has great thumbs
The teeth would not even be around
If it weren't for the gums!

The legs are very shapely
So they take on airs
The back is straight, but it's not fate
It's due to derrieres!!

The feet take on the very weight
Of all the rest of it
We couldn't go without big toes!
The little one should fit!

Are we all one body?
Well, Jesus is our head.
He is there, so have a care
He wants LOVE instead!

How could your leg move
Without a bone?
Bone move without a muscle?
Maybe you don't see it cuz
You're lost in all the bustle!

Taking care of your own self
Perhaps your face is Janus.
Janus means you're two-faced.
That means you're an ****!

Does that reference shock you?
It really should, you see.
When you talk about my sis
You're talking about ME!

The Corinthians were like that
The Apostle Paul was sad.
They were very worldly
It also made him mad!

We need to grow up, people!
Babies need great care,
But we'd best not part mustaches
To put a bottle there!!

We are all one body
If we want to thrive and grow
We should not poke out an eye
Or cut off a toe!

Folks, let's love each other!
Where Christ Is We Live
If someone has offended
Why don't we forgive?

We are all one body
Please take my advice!
We are all one body...

And it belongs to Christ!

1 Corinthians 12

One Body with Many Parts
12The human body has many parts, but the many parts make up one whole body. So it is with the body of Christ. 13Some of us are Jews, some are Gentiles,e some are slaves, and some are free. But we have all been baptized into one body by one Spirit, and we all share the same Spirit.f

14Yes, the body has many different parts, not just one part. 15If the foot says, “I am not a part of the body because I am not a hand,” that does not make it any less a part of the body. 16And if the ear says, “I am not part of the body because I am not an eye,” would that make it any less a part of the body? 17If the whole body were an eye, how would you hear? Or if your whole body were an ear, how would you smell anything?

18But our bodies have many parts, and God has put each part just where he wants it. 19How strange a body would be if it had only one part! 20Yes, there are many parts, but only one body. 21The eye can never say to the hand, “I don’t need you.” The head can’t say to the feet, “I don’t need you.”

22In fact, some parts of the body that seem weakest and least important are actually the most necessary. 23And the parts we regard as less honorable are those we clothe with the greatest care. So we carefully protect those parts that should not be seen, 24while the more honorable parts do not require this special care. So God has put the body together such that extra honor and care are given to those parts that have less dignity. 25This makes for harmony among the members, so that all the members care for each other. 26If one part suffers, all the parts suffer with it, and if one part is honored, all the parts are glad.

I thought I made a mistake today when I again equated  my self worth to numerics.

However, my life is worth more than numbers on a scale.

I have spent years learning to love myself.
I have spent months teaching myself helpful and safe patterns that honor myself.
I have spent weeks unlearning all the negative things I have heard from society about what a body should look like.
I have spent days helping others do the same through talking, art, music, and drama.
I have spent hours exploring my body- my temple.
I have spent minuetes unconsciously making new positive associations.

And I will spend no more seconds hating numerics in relation to my body.

As if my insides are too pink
and new to reach inside of
and pull out anything of value.
As if, because my body was not
forged out of natural disaster,
it isn’t a world of its own.

I saw you from a distance
tall, semi muscular,  with dark hair.
An unfamiliar figure
in my mind curiosity is triggered.

Who is this man
with skin so tan.
He wears a black suit,
white shirt, and black tie.
You look like  the kind of guy
any girl would want to have,
the kind of man who has no problem
getting whatever she would want to buy.

My eyes graze you up and down
to every inch of you.
I can see it right through,
you catch my eye and smile.
You look like trouble, one of
the kind Im not afarid to get into.

As I stand in this cold mysterious dark night
wearing nothing but a silky grey dress,
and matching silver heels,
I wonder where you'll go tonight.
But whoever will see you
I bet will have good night.

In hindsight I spot the black Mercedes,
the night is young,
a long wild night for me awaits.
I step inside the black Mercedes,
to my right I see you
"Hello" with a smile he says.
As a custom I give him a kiss on the cheek and
I take a seat right next to his.

Guess I have the answer to my question,
Tonight your coming with me,
something I definitely didn't foresee.

through the side of my eye
I see the way you look at me.
You spread your legs at the sight of my *******,
you bite your lips as I put on my lipstick,
in your mind im already undressed.

The smell of your cologne makes
my breath quiver,
the thought of wanting to see it, still lingers.
this space between us makes me unease
I want to feel you hold me in your arms
as you put it inside making me weak in the knees.

Take off my clothes
I'll let you have a taste.
I want your tongue's prints
to fill my body trace by trace.

I don't want this night to end,
if you want it badly I can ride your face,
or  I can have you inside my mouth instead.

Its not gonna be a long trip,
only got one chance, might as well
take advantage of every drip.
The car now smell you, me, us

The silence here surpassed by your,
mine, our moan.,
and souvenirs from your cologne.

Proud of my past pain

Til the wind blows with ****** she-wrote
Grasps your belly in front of my face
Let your spirits rise among me
Roar with thunder
This is me
My body is mine but the spirits comes with receipts
Now bow to me
Resurrection of the mind is followed by the spirit.
