Aphrodite broke my mirror
then she stole my lipstick
So if you happen to see her
tell her to just keep it
I got a secret room in the ceiling
where she sleeps sometimes
when the shelter is reeling
I don't mind it once in awhile
But I don't want a goddess around all the time
Yeah, Aphrodite broke my mirror
Tell her I'm sorry if you see her
My mirror could not withstand her beauty. Have fun.

Cranberries leaves and walnuts all mixed together
With a crumbly cheese that tastes like leather
Here's a tin can
Maybe that will taste better
The way you jump on that roof
Makes you seem almost aloof
I'd trade places with you, I say
But it's my 40th birthday
Maybe tomorrow...

Buttercups woven through red stringy hair
Mangled hands and tapestry everywhere
Sadness and joy and laughter and lust
Dew drops in meadows and trucks turned to rust
There's beauty in everything, from garbage to gold
The moon in the daytime, the young and the old
There's love all around us, just reach out and feel
Cast out your line, if you get a bite reel
Cuz you might have caught the very best thing of all
An inner love for yourself that you'll never let fall
