I BARE my emotions
And WEAR a smile
When I am with you
Swathi eruvaram Nov 2015
My hands and your body meet
You ask for more
I massage every inch neat
You say there is more
I think what did I miss
You say 'Mama, my teeth'
Huh!?

An univited visitor
Her presence is ignored
But she is everywhere
We stay with her
She is visible at times
Sometimes, just felt
But everyone is touched by her
The touch of nature
Today my son wanted the clouds to part so he could see the sun. But when the sun shone, he said he just wanted to see the sun and not feel him.

"How can you love him like that?"*

At 5, they taught me
how to color shapes
and I would color them
beyond the lines.

At 10, they told me
to make a 500-word essay
and I did a 1000-word
for it and got an F.

At 16, they apprised me
to wear a cocktail dress in a party
and I wore a long dress;
they bullied me for weeks.

At 20, my professor instructed me
to place up to 5 decimal places
and I wrote 7 for assurance;
I failed his class.

At 23, he asked me to love him
with everything that I can
and I gave him beyond everything;
he broke my heart.

I have had disturbed nights
But happier days
Happiness wins!
It is difficult to raise a child but the happiness they bring into your life equals nothing

My arm becomes your pillow
My voice your music
My rhymes your lullabies
I tell to myself one last rhyme
But it takes atleast fifty for you to sleep
