Hey
Wrong number
                                        >   Maybe not.
Is there an in-between?

It's safer that we're strangers..
But can I tell you of my dream?

I glimpsed her amongst the stars
A light piercing through the seams.

Threw myself into the sky and missed..

My world goes silent.

Bleak as I'm floating..

Shrinking.

Back & forth the waves roll in
Challenging the beach
The foaming surf offers up a dream
That so far is out of reach

I wish I could live among the waves
Like the seal that I've just seen
Without a care for what comes next
Or for what has ever been

To swim among gigantic whales
Majestic in their song
Content with life - to carry on
Knowing they belong

To fly up high above the swell
Like the seagulls do
Playing in the clouds of spray
They all know the truth

Happiness is a gift

That we can not take for granted
In the profoundness of the ocean
Seeds of hope will now be planted

Back & forth the waves roll in
Their cycle never ends
My life continues to evolve
The sea will help me mend

dating a writer
is like guessing the weather.
you think you know what you'll get,
but you never do.

you never know
because

she'll create a hero
from your weaknesses

and she'll write a great character,
from every last flaw.

she'll create a thousand plots
from your worst nightmares.

she'll take every last thing you hate
and create something you'll love.

she'll turn your anger
into confessions of adoration,

and she'll make you,
everything you're not.

but worst of all,
she'll leave you wondering-
is it you she's in love with,
or things she's created from you?

but here's the beauty of it:

if you date a writer,
you'll never die.

I do not identify myself as a black american
I do not identify myself as an activist
I do not identify myself
As anything other than what I am
Do not arbitrate my existence
It will only magnify your bigotry
Do not lecture me
It will not ratify your ministry
Do not objectify my identity
Do not marginalize my sincerity
I know your criticism
It will not dwindle me
I am defiantly deaf to it
It will not compute
Trust me
It will only intensify
What I occupy
Do not subject me to anomaly
Do not try and direct me
I will not comply
Do not concern yourself
with my essentiality
I am not lost
Do not concern yourself
With what defines me
Just ask
If I am willing and able.
Do Humans know to leave in peace and harmony,
Do Humans know to show love with each other,
Do Humans know how to share each other's sorrow or sadness,
Do Humans know how to keep  ourself  away from corruption,
Do Humans know which is better way =>either **** or save the human,
Do Humans know everything does not come from money,
Do Humans know how to save and  maintain our relationship in world,
Do  Humans know how to satisfy the poor and needy peoples,
Do Humans know how to save humanity,
Do anyone cares for dying humanity,
Do anyone knows where we stand in the world
Think everyone it is big question for ourself.

I reach out to someone I cannot see
Longing for some form of connection
Wanting some sort of warmth
Adoring you from afar

You are my moon
A part of you always hidden
A part of you untouchable
Forever out of reach

I want to know you, to understand you
But I don't want to change you
For my heart has eyes and is not blind
I see you, and I love you just the way you are
I want it to rain
For a thousand days
Not a gentle drizzle
A raging storm
I want to hear the thunder
I want it to pour
Lightening stretched
Over dark skies
Will open up
My tired eyes
I want to lay on the pavement
And feel the water on my skin
And maybe
Just maybe
I'll close my eyes and pretend
That I'm laying under the rain
With you again

Just to find wrong ways
And our decomposing hearts
All in front our eyes

Our hurdled master
Thinking of our choice
But not of consequence

So we are let here to rot
Infused with darkened thoughts
And crested love
