Ages ago when things were new
I never thought there wouldn't be a me and you.
Flowers bloomed and the sun shined through,
Because there would always be a me and you.

Then the flowers died and left me blue.
Things got dark there was no me and you.
When things went wrong there was nothing I could do
But wonder what ever happened to me and you.

I know it's been a long time that you've been free.
But can you still picture a life with you and me.
As time goes past if you can see
A time where there might be a you and me.

I know now that too much time has passed, I'm sure you agree,
But it would be great to get together one more time just to see.
I know in life some things just can't be,
But in my mind there will always be a you and me.

There's a place where I like to stay.
There's a place not too far away.
There's a place where I like to unwind.
There's a place in my mind.

There's a place that you can't see.
There's a place that's just for me.
There's a place that's sweet and kind.
There's a place in my mind.

There's a place where memories go.
I can get there fast or get there slow.
There's a place that knows no time.
There's a place in my mind.

There's a place where I can hide
In plan site throughout life's ride.
There's a place that no one can find.
There's a place in my mind.

There's a place where I can be free.
There's a place where anything can be.
There's a place where you'll always care.
There's a place and you'll always be there.

There's a place that knows no gloom.
There's a place that knows no doom.
There's a place that knows no crime.
There's a place in my mind.

There's a place with no sky and no ground.
There's a place where I can always be found.
There's a place where all things rhyme.
There's a place in my mind.

There's a place that knows your name.
There's a place that keeps me sane.
There's a place where love will bind.
There's a place in my mind.

There's a place that you can't get to by plane.
There's a place where there are no games.
There's a place that you can't get to by car,
But every time I go there, there you are.

I've had many lives and in everyone I've been with you.
I keep coming back and every time there's something new..
You may be short or tall, a blond or a redhead; your eyes may be green or blue.
Now every time I see your face . . . déjà vu.

Sometimes you were a friend standing by my side
Through good times and bad times, helping me through this crazy ride.
As a friend you always helped me do what I needed to do.
Now every time I see your face . . . déjà vu.

Sometimes you were my lover with passions running high.
When you’ve been my lover, the lust would fly me to the sky.
As my lover there were things that I liked and you always knew.
Now every time I see your face . . . déjà vu.

There were some lives where you were my wife,
And that was always the best of any life.
Our love was so strong it would last our whole life through.
Now every time I see your face . . . déjà vu.

There were times when my life, love, and marriage all turned into a mess.
But I always had you to turn to as my beautiful mistress.
When my loves have gone bad, you were always there when I needed you.
Now every time I see your face . . . déjà vu.

Through all my lives you've always been there above the rest,
As a friend, a lover, a wife, and a mistress
You've always been there for me and that's so true
Now every time I see your face . . . déjà vu.

Every time I see you, I know I’ve seen you before,
And there’s one thing for sure as my lives go on, I will see you some more.
In every life there’s the first time I see your face and look in your eyes and every time I knew
That I've known you before, and that now every time I see your face . . . DÉJÀ VU.

Standing by the rodeo bleachers a cowboy named Stan
Watches the penned bulls with his bull rope in his hand.
The cowboy is trying to get his nerves to subside
Because his turn is next for his eight second ride.

The cowboy freezes and stares in awe,
As he hears the announcement of his luck of the draw.
The cowboy’s fear flows like the ebbing tide.
He tilts his hat and plans his eight second ride.

The bull he has drawn is mean and wild.
This cowboy has drawn a monster named Flower Child.
The cowboy stares at the majestic creature in the shoot;
He knows if he can stay on this bull, he will win all the loot.

The cowboy moves toward his nemesis with a long fast stride.
He climbs on the gate and readies himself for his eight second ride.
Flower Child is also ready and dances side to side with pride,
Ready to make this seem like the longest ever of his eight second rides.

The cowboy slowly mounts Flower Child from the side,
Wraps the rope around his hand and raises the other to signal ready for his eight second ride.
There aren’t many rules that the cowboy must abide,
But he must keep his free hand up and high for his eight second ride.

ONE: The bull jumps from the shoot all four legs off the ground.
Before its legs touch down Flower Child has spun completely around.
TWO: Airborne again Flower Child turns to the left and jumps to the right.
After a complete spin his hind legs hit the ground with a jolting might.

THREE: Jumping up, the bull comes down like a charge of TNT causing the cowboy to slide.
Trying to keep his balance and not end his ride, the cowboy shifts from side to side.
FOUR: Flower Child spins in a circle, like a dog chasing its tail,
As he turns, his hind legs kick up trying to make the cowboy bail.

FIVE: Flower Child, as if set to music, dances to and fro,
Jumping up and down he tries to give the cowboy a throw.
SIX: Moving left then spinning right the bull become airborne.
The cowboy is thrown forward, very close to the horns.

SEVEN: Flower Child begins to spin, spin, spin.
The cowboy’s hat flies off in the wind.
EIGHT: The sound of the whistle hits his ear,
And now there is a new fear.

The cowboy sits on top of this beast all alone.
There is no escape, there is no help; he must get off this monster on his own.
With the bull flying high, the cowboy throws his leg to the side.
In a cloud of dust he hits the dirt hard ending his eight second ride.

The bull snorts and saliva flies as he charges the cowboy that’s down,
But he is intercepted by a wild and crazy colorful clown.
Running, the cowboy grabs his hat and into the fence he collides.
On the other side of the fence he dust himself off and gets ready for his next eight second ride.

You are the one that drives me insane,
But there’s no reason to speak your name.
I could shout your name near and far,
But there’s no need you know who you are.

You are the blood when I bleed.
You are the air when I breathe.
You are the food when I eat.
You are the earth beneath my feet.

You are the tear when I cry.
You are the question when I ask why.
You are the smile when I sleep.
You are the charm that I keep.

I know you know that this is for you.
It’s the only thing I know to do.
You are my eyes when I see.
You are the honey from the bee.

You are the life in my soul.
You are the diamonds from the coal.
You are the left to my right.
You are the meek to my might.

You are the lyrics to my song.
You are the right when I do wrong.
You are the up to my down.
You are what makes my world go round.

You are the light when all I see is dark.
You are the flame when all I need is a spark.
If I could pray for something that I most want to come true,
I would pray that you know that this poem, this love, this life is all for you.

If I could just kiss you . . . but you have such a stare.
If I could just kiss you . . . but your eyes say beware.
If I could just hold you oh so very tight.
If I could just hold you whenever you’re in sight.

If I could touch you, just to see if you care.
If I could touch you, but do I dare?
You stand there with that knowing smile on your face.
I stand here looking so stupid, a total disgrace.

You look at me and make your little coos.
I look at you and I’m afraid to make a move.
If I could think of the right words as you walk away.
If I could only come up with something to make you stop and stay.

But then you stopped and turned around
With a look that could have knocked me down.
I come to you and you take me by my hand.
You look me in the eyes and you whisper, “oh Stan”

“If you want to kiss me, you have to come near.
If you want to kiss me, my lips are right here.
If you want to hold me, don’t feel any alarm.
If you want to hold me, just take me in your arms.”

“If you want to touch me here and touch me there
If you want to touch me please be sincere”
You leaned in your lips so soft and sweet.
You leaned in and gave me chills from my head to my feet.

I held you close, oh so close to my chest.
If I could judge all my feeling, this was the best.
I touched your skin so soft and tender.
In my arms I could feel your body surrender.

Our lips brushed lightly and I held you so tight
Our lips came together hard with a force that was a might.
If I could, I know I would hold you like this forever.
Even though I know you have to go, I would leave you never.

My soul felt empty like a ******* hole.
I had nothing to live for and no place to go.
There was no light and I felt the end was near.
There was only darkness down a long black peer.

The darkness brought anguish and the anguish brought fear.
As darkness was about to consume my soul, I heard a voice whisper in my ear.
The voice so soft, gentle, and serene said, “Only you know the path to the light.
The light is within you, he said.  You must choose what is right.”

“If you follow this path the light will begin to appear.
Remember the light comes from within, whispered the voice in my ear.
Everyone comes here with a plan and a purpose to this life.
If this is not accomplished there will be pain, suffering, and strife.”

“You could have just come here to have some children to rear.
Or to write, paint, or find the next cure, said the voice that whispered in my ear.
When you can’t find this purpose sometimes your soul can get lost.
You search and you search but can’t find it at any cost.”

“Finding our purpose may seem so far but really is near.
Our purpose in life isn’t always what we think it is, whispered the voice in my ear.
When you find your reason for being, you will find the elusive light.”
Now in the dark things seem so right, up in front of me is getting bright.

I can see the light when I begin to write and it takes away my fear.
There is a voice in the silence but for years I couldn't hear.
I know things will be better and it’s now very clear.
All I have to do is listen because I have an angel that whispers in my ear.
