with emotions overwhelming you

joy, fullness, amazement
contentment, peace, love
harmony
imagine never having to
search  for that feeling,
that it's always there with you
always
a warm loving embrace
in the middle of your day
in the dark of the night
whenever you need it
imagine having someone
to talk to
about everything
that matters in your life
and imagine that someone
will always give you
direction
when you need it
imagine on your worst days,
during your lowest moments,
your most tired times....
being picked up and lifted
if you can imagine all this
then you have imagined
the love that only one
can provide for you
always when you need it
that is
the love
of God.

A new air
finishes another summer
Later mornings
earlier nights
Wrap it up
consume every day
for September comes
sooner than planned

There once was a time
you held me close,
and rocked me softly to sleep.
Then there were days
where I made you crazed,
out a window
you wanted to leap!

A sweet little child
I'm sure that I was,
I put a sparkle in your eyes,
to see me grown up
and on my own,
it must be quite a surprise!

For now I'm a mom
experiencing too,
the joys of a cute little girl.
Who also can be
a handful for me,
to my life she adds a twirl.

But I'll love her and cherish her
and keep her safe,
she'll always be close to my heart.
And when the time comes
for her to leave,
I'll know that I've done my part.

For I've learned from the best,
As everyone knows
she's a woman who is so fine,
A  mom who's given it all to me,
She's the mom that I call mine!

breezing by
open sky
quiet stars
moon is full
you are there
reaching out to
touch my face
listen to the night
breezes
my eyes focus
on your eyes
my hair softly
moves in the breeze
you move my hair
to kiss my lips
you kiss my lips
so quietly
you take my
breath away
with yours
in the night breeze

A night out together
having some drinks,
secrets and stories
who cares
what they think!

It's been a while
since we sat and talked
laughed and danced
cried and joked.

Around the room
they sit and look
with curious eyes,
like a scene from a book.

Could friends be
so close
in body and mind,
thinking the same
talking in time....

The night goes on,
some crowd around
to share in their laughs
and sing out loud.

Our fun is magnetic
contagious in fact
and when the night is over,
we'll always look back
to a night of stories
of giggles
and fun,
and the best part of all
we needed no one

We say goodbye
with kisses
and hugs
for a night
to remember
our friendship
with love.

There is a little birdie
who sits atop a tree,
right near my bedroom window
He's very close to me.

Every morning I can hear him
as he winds up with a song,
the only problem to me
is the song is way too long!

Not only is it too long,
it's the same song every day,
Although he thinks it playful
I'd rather he not stay!

My strength,
my guidence,
my solace,
my guard,
He provides me
with shelter
and calms
all my storms.

He lifts me
when needed
Grants me peace
when I pray,
He is there at the begining
and end of each day.

Although it may seem
He does not always care,
the truth be known
He carries each
burden
I bear.

He is my Light,
He guides my way,
He gives me Hope
For brighter days.

His Love
is unending,
His friendship is free,
He is my Salvation
for me
to be me!

Where do we go from here....
      Constantly living in fear
            Why is our world in danger so much.....
                   Leaving everyone shedding a tear?

Who can we trust today.....
      When did things become this way.....
             How do we live a fearless life,
                   Pretending everything is okay.

Do not go out alone....
       Before dark you should be home-
              Lock all your doors, turn on the lights,
                    You live in a danger zone.

With prayers someday we'll be free....
        of a worriesome life, you'll see.....
                Free to take a walk alone again
                       in a world make for you and me.
