Speak
Use the voice inside you
Don't let it be stale air
Let yourself be heard
It's like a bird not using its beak
To sing and bid sorrow adieu
Trust that someone shall care
And say every hindered word.

You have a voice, so use it. Don't stop yourself short before you've even begun.

**Fireworks (when not one directly after the other) scare me.

Rolling
over and over
and over again

wrapped tight like
a Birchbark canoe

mute starlight
tapping and scratching
at my window

sleep, that dark
river I seek

night, oh holy
water, sink me

drown me deep
down in the black
mud below you.
torrential down pour
life giving water for plants
sad at the window
Your words float around me,
A charming melody-
They pay homage to my senses,
Wrap me up, and set me free;
But my heart aches of its own accord
It never leaves me be.

It reminds me of the time before,
Time spent in the dark-
But time with you jars my soul;
I've gotten back my spark.
Tell the morning crows
Keep quiet before seven
Worms cannot hear you!
crow,
staring out the window,
I remember you as you were

a bird always in flight

a fist full of tomorrows
held in the palm of your hand

staring out the window at the pouring rain
the warmth of your hand
pinions of a dove's wing
your hand in mine

I will not see the shadow
under your smile

gathering all the light in the room
like a flower in the sun

I remember you as you were
