What is this feeling that is pounding,  pounding,   pounding...
It taps a rhythm within the chambers of my once empty heart Rat tat...
Rat tat....Rat tat.... Rat tat it goes, like a drummer boy headed out into war
He tells me it's love, she tells me it's stupidity, they say it's just beating,  beating,   Beating...
But what makes it beat? What makes it pound?
What creates this heat that's building,  growing, non stop flowing?
For now I just need to let pound,
                                                pound,
                                                         pound.

Dear mother of mine,
For years of putting up with tantrums and taunts,
For being the hero in the middle of night I give thanks.
Through messy car rides and stressful last minute projects
The constant annoying questions and pleading for random junk
You've seen us grow and change tearing you heart at thought of us leaving
We may hang on your last never but you still love us.
Life would be the same without you, we love you, you will alway hold a place in our hearts
Thank you for being my mother, thank you for being my friend
~ your daughter forever, Sabrina

Happiness is the new spring grass rising from the cold winter ground,
A dancing bumble bee skipping flower to flower,
A bright blue, cloudless sky that allows the smiling sun to shine.
The awed gasp of a reader getting a new book,
A victory in a battle seen only on a crisp white page,
A smile that accompanies an unexpected joke from your favorite character.
The rigging laugh of a sweet child playing with his toys,
An inside joke between two friends so close they could be family,
A gleam in a parent's eye when they see their young one shine.

The glow of Amber leaves on a soft cool evening,
Trees swaying and moaning in the crisp autumn wind
This is where I climb higher and higher to take in the bittersweet taste of fall
There is truly no season better than this.
The sun is setting faster, it's light leaving a stunning orange light skimming over the earth,
Children dress for occasion, delicious fattening food is high in demand
and blessings are sung.
How could one not love a beautiful scene only fall could bring?
