I’m telling you, it’s not about the inability to smile
or the bad posture
it’s not about the lack of appetite or the dark circles under your eyes
you’ll get to sleep soon
a good, deep, fresh sleep that’ll nurture you back to sanity
or at least gaiety
it’s just today,
I swear you’re still beautiful and blessed
the mirror might be making a cruel joke on you
but that’s just today
you’re no rat, okay?
(hell, even rats can be beautiful, but I still do think you are much more heavenly and beautiful than a rat)
maybe someone or something gritty poked a pin in and it’s
draining you all out
energy all out
shine all out
sense all out
but it’s just today and you can get it back tomorrow
or the next day
(though, don’t put it off too long or else you’ll be swimming with the sharks - and I’m not saying you’ll be one of the sharks, more like plankton for a feast)
you’ll get it back
you will
and it’s not about failing to get somewhere or getting somewhere to fail all over again,
it isn’t about failure
it isn’t about success either
it’s just about breathing because sometimes that’s all you can do
until maybe you get that good sleep and can grin again
like you used to
Do not stand at my grave and weep..
I am not there. I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow,
I am the diamond glints on snow.
I am the sunlight on ripened grain,
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you awake in the morning's hush
I am the swift uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft star-shine at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry..
I am not there. I did not die.

And I just want to feel your breath
On my neck
And your *******
On my chest
And I just want to feel your lips
On my cheek
Telling me I’ll be okay
When I’m feeling awfully weak
And I just want to see your eyes
Meeting mine
Soft orbs of blue
Too mature for your time
And I just want to hear your voice
Whispering softly in my ear
Be here with me
Be near
I can’t handle this distance
Not only of miles, but of mind
I never could catch you
But god how long I tried.
She put her hair up,
All night I imagined its fall,
Breathlessly waiting.

Is it too much to ask for you to talk to me?
I just want to hear your voice again,
To hear that you still care.

Instead you cast me aside
As if I was nothing.
Not your friend,
Not your enemy,
Just an empty shell of what used to be
The girl of your dreams.

Saying we can be friends
Usually means just that.

Instead you decide to never call,

If I am nothing to you,
Why do you still mean so much to me?

It's funny to me,
that I used to think that you were my everything.
And I,
was your nothing.

But after a few years of
and trying,
and loving you..

I honestly am exhausted.
I am so tired of always being there for you,
when you are never there for me.

You have seen me so broken,
so miserable,
so lost- and maybe once upon a time,
you would have taken me into your heart,
and let me hide there,
hearing the repetitive thuds;
breathing in the same air,
wrapped up in your warmth.

But one day,
something changed.
And you no longer care for me,
like you said.
You just leave me to fend for myself;
and honestly I am okay with being strong.
But there are days when
I need you.

And I know you need me too.
Because what will you do without me in 8 months when I go?
You will have no one there;
and trying,
and loving you.

All of these thoughts are playing through my head;
the street lights are gliding over my windshield too slowly;
the music is up loud,
but I'm not even singing;
and my eyes, well shamefully they cried for you,
the car swerves and I have an epiphany...

You are not my everything.
I am yours.
I am not your nothing.
You are mine.
i fell
last week
craked ribs i think
either way
oh how i
slipped on slick, wet, painted steps i've beeen meaning to fix with a rough surface for a few yrs...
I am a mountain,
Yearning to soar with birds of flight,
But I am twined with the earth,
Whilst animals ***** empires upon my back.
As a volcano lies dormant,
I, too, murmur gently,
Solemnly observing
My frustrated and polluted vigil.
