As the days have gone weary

I find that I have not

As I look upon your face

I see what I have sought

I wander after you

In your footsteps where I belong

I raise my voice in triumph

As I praise you with my song

You have been so good to me

By fulfilling my every need

And I will thank you all of my days

And follow where you lead

sacrifice
he came to me
three times at night
we bore a child
in stark moonlight

we chanted loud
we spoke forth proud
she came to us
upon a cloud

her blackened clothes
with every stitch
spoke of her origin
she was a cosmic witch

her raven hair
shone with the moon
she spoke of
evil, impending doom

your child, she said
will haunt your dreams
for she is not quite what she seems

she is a devil in disguise
don't be fooled by innocent eyes

she will cause harm to all who's near
but if you listen, you need not fear

just heed my warning, my advice
you must make the ultimate sacrifice

draw a circle on the grassy floor
and inside it lay what you did bore

make an offering unto the grey
and wait for the wolves to take her away

until
seeing seems a blessing until you watch her slip away
feelings seem sensational until the slow decay
breathing seems easy until you find you can't
violence feels powerful until death does it's dance
emotions feel so wonderful until you start to cry
living seems content until you wish to die

mare tenebris
i have drank the milk of the ocean
i inhaled it’s briny breath
i have sunk below the surface
i wandered through its depths

swept away by the undertow
to live amongst the deep
pulled to bioluminescence
where the weird will always creep

i know now the treasures untold
i know its deep dark secrets
for i keep my own away from light
as i live down deep beneath it

the clearing
i waited for a sign
i waited for a voice
all i heard was silence
i didn't have a choice

i cleared the area
i set the stage
i closed my eyes
and then i prayed

please raise me now
from this grassy floor
to be like a bird
with wings to soar

light as a feather
high in the sky
don't let me fall
for i will die

victorian maiden
I am a lonely victorian maiden
who has been washed out to sea.
I pray that someone, someday,
would come and rescue me.
I have but one good, useful skill.
The problem is it won't pay a bill.
I have the heart of a righteous saint,
good will towards others with nary a complaint.
I pledge a harmonious, delightful life;
to my savior whom I'd make a first-rate wife.

will you
God, will you show me

the things i need to see
?
will i be able to find you

in that dire time of need?

will you come to my rescue

when no one else is left?

will you put all my fears

to the ultimate test?

will you stand by your word

to always be there?

to love me and keep me

forever in your care?

will you give me my salvation

wash me clean, make me pure?
all of this i ask of you
you will i am sure

it has begun
this is the day
climb to the top
throw myself away
enjoy the descent
into this hell
break from this body

Victorian spirit
Victorian spirit
hovers over me
summoning for
all eternity

across the table
hands are bound
together forever
and all around

cold winds blow forth
and brings dark shadows
foreboding tales of
woes and great sorrows

haunting this space
and whispering thy name
inhabiting my body
i will never be the same

Victorian spirit
who are thee

so my eyes can see

take to the sky
she looked out of her window then
she saw a rainbow, the light did bend
seven colors up in the sky
with all the birds she longed to fly
so she set forth with arms spread wide
took a leap, but only died

saline's maiden voyage
he took me by the hand and led me down
into the water and promised i wouldn’t drown

the sun did shine then, it’s touch was warm
but i didn’t know it was the calm before the storm

i felt the tide rising and looked into his eyes
saw a glimmer of the moon, it took me by surprise

the skies had darkened, my blood ran cold
the water turned freezing, i was not foretold

his grasp, it weakened and i felt the ocean take me
echoed in my mind was his promise to not forsake me

the sea opened up and swallowed me whole
i wouldn’t have come if only i’d known

Winter
The quiet stillness of winter. Freshly fallen snow with nary a track to be seen. Frigid air bites at the skin. Wrapped in warmth, feet sinking into the plushness. Snow-capped mountains in the distance, a layer of fog surrounds them. Bare trees gone white with it’s bark peeking through underneath. The time of year when the suns warmth is welcomed, defrosting the icy chill. The snowfall is blinding in the sun, but without the solar beam, the grey tempers it. As dusk sets in grey turns to black and the white illuminated by the moon. Hours pass and the sun rises to brighten the morning and the cycle is renewed.

from which i wake
and to where i shall go
when my last breath i take
