Reap
Roger Rapoza JR Jan 2013
Thunder roars and cracks, bolts sizzle and scream,
trees fall with a crash, limbs snap at the seam.

Rain falls down upon us, with horrifying speed
It’s time to reap what we sowed, we planted The Seed.

The Seed of corruption not one of good intent,
The Seed only we with our ignorant minds could invent.

An abomination of mankind it corrupted the earth,
Mother Nature was weeping while we shook with mirth.

The blind and uncaring, do you see what we have done?
The wrath of Mother Nature has finally begun.

Anger replaced sorrow, destruction replaced preservation,
as she released her fury bringing us to annihilation.

Thunder roared and cracked, bolts sizzled and screamed,
trees fell with a crash, limbs snapped at the seam.

Rain fell down upon us with all consuming glee,
we reaped what we sowed, Mother Nature is free.
