Endeavor is the weather
Of the human mind
Torturing reason
And Razing in kind
It is the embarkation
Of the human spirit
That itself an element
To **** what draws near it
Animal and plant to rot
Beneath rhetoric from towers
The human endeavor is
God’s deadliest power
Robert C Ellis Jan 2018
ing
The universe,
The howling mad scatter
Of an infant screaming
God renegotiating the value
Of our believing
We are digestible and fleeting
We are comic debris
Breathing, seething
Recreating the stars
With the fusion of drinking
Whiskey, *** and fluoxetine
The anatomy of a fire
Is the human being
Robert C Ellis Dec 2017
The thunder of the Undone
Strikes flint against kerosene soaked lives
REVIVE
The strive that counter balances the heartbeat
****** my lethargic hands into the heat
Birds are the ability for chemistry to seek
Weather is meat slung from the bone
Writhing language lashed against teeth
Beat this misspent life to stone

Darwin carts the wind from the eaves
Those Dark, bent constellations we hone
Into the annals of the horizon; our keep
Is where Time and Gravity are sewn

She is the solar reign
Hers is the birth and the death
Of fantasy, religion, and acclaim
My universe laughs with every breath
Don't rest on your laurels... LIVE

Trajectory
The dance of Will between you and The
Notion of planets, the poetry of gravity
Endless erosion of Time and peace
Still our skeletons must move and breathe
The leaves of autumn are proclivity
Gods and Demons, Roman hierarchy
Professors in dust jackets screaming from eaves
To the tick of my heart turning the ***** key
Robert C Ellis Nov 2017
Wait for the stars to collide
So our minds set aside
Grasp and its innumerable calculations
The cellular breath of her new sensations

Hypocrisy is the bend of civilization
The dogma of the surviving
A blood-soaked officer’s badge
Gravity of a supernova undying
Robert C Ellis Nov 2017
My bones the unimpeachable thoughts
of God paused on humor and dialect.
Rob the sunlight of breath, rest.
My heart in my throat as the gulls crest.
The ocean hunches its shoulders
like a universe possessed.
Robert C Ellis Nov 2017
The sun peels poetry from the writer
His breathing is a form of symphony
The rhythm unlocks clouds onto wind
Ash tree seeds are called the “keys”
