I’m Nobody! Who are you?
Are you—Nobody—Too?
Then there’s a pair of us!
Don’t tell! they’d advertise—you know!

How dreary—to be—Somebody!
How public—like a Frog—
To tell one’s name—the livelong June—
To an admiring Bog!
Perfection is being content in ones own world

Perfection is perceiving the cracks in the wall as a piece of art
Withered autumnal branches
Dreaming of blooms in spring

Perfection sought, to please the world
Leaves one imperfect and discontented
In this, perception oriented perfect world
Blue jeans and lipstick
she awaits her beloved  -
sirens in distance

I am a tiger and a fawn.
The she-wolf that screams to the moon at dusk
And the meadowlark that whistles to the sun at dawn.
I am darkness and I am light
Flipping my tangled hair to the cascading stars at night
Lifting my hands in prayer, releasing the morning birds to flight.
And I will protect them,
These birds of freedom.
I will carve their songs
Deeply into my heart
And set aside a space
Where the cruelty of this world
Cannot, ever, tear them apart.
So laugh my little children,
And sing your songs of glory,
You are safe
You are heard
And you are worthy.

engulfed in curious urgency
legs parted and lips needful
yearning tongues
and sweetly innocent silk

wrapped in precious essence
burning veins, crimson mysteries
and shattering ripples—
an unheard chorus
of flesh

remember the folk singer
in the Dallas airport?

it’s like that
without the sound track.
