This is about the girl who fell in love with the moon.
Resting against the cold glass window at night
To get a glimpse of the light on the side she laid eyes on
And wondered about the darkness she would never get to see.
This is about the girl who fell in love with the stars.
Watching them sparkle and shoot across the sky.
She shed a tear knowing these stars were long diminished
And wondered if she as well would leave such a lasting mark.
This is about the girl who fell in love with the rain.
Falling fast asleep to the quiet drops on the pavement
With colors forming through the heavy mist,
And wondered if she could ever be as beautiful as a rainbow.
This is about the girl who fell in love with the ocean.
Sinking her toes in the sand while breathing the salty air,
Noticing the fish swimming easily through the blue water
And wondered if she could glide through life the same way.
This is about the girl who fell in love with the sun.
Lying in the swaying grass, feeling a soft breeze on her cheeks
Only to be shaded by the birds flying free under the light
And she wondered if she could one day be as free.
This is about the girl who fell in love with solitude.
Curled up with the dusty pages of her favorite book
Reading of the lover’s who share their lives together,
And wondered if one day she might share her solitude.
This is about the girl who fell in love with you.
With the way your body wrapped around hers,
How you could command a room with the warmth of your smile
And she wondered if one day she could call you hers.
This is about the girl who fell in love with too many things.
Realizing none of them would ever be hers,
Knowing she had no one to share them with.
And she wondered if she would always feel so alone.
He's a monster,

He will take your soul,

When he gets you, you have nowhere to go,

His eyes the color of night,

His smile brings no light,

His voice sends shivers down you spine,

Too scared to move in his presence,

He growls like a menace,

He'll drain you in more ways than one,

He wants to play games that are never fun,

He loves the chase, It's his favorite part,

He has stolen everything from me,

But my heart.

I look at the fractured streets
littered with broken promises
peeling billboards peddling luxury to the wrong audience
the contorted vertebrae of this country's spine
and I mourn
the death of the American Dream.
I see it lying at my feet with every step
like the broken-winged bird from childhood fables.
"Fix me," she wheezes.
I tried once, but it died in my hands.
Apparently,
"The Dream" used to be two cars
but now it's two good fists
the wisdom to know when enough is enough
and the strength to say it.
I was born too late to remember anything else.
Here lies the American Dream,
bruised and battered by those who vowed to protect her
doused in oil and set aflame
by misdirection
misdemeanors
and Miss Universe.
Here lies the American Dream
who was born from revolution
and died in its absence
who waited for a day that never came
who lived long enough to see the fruit of her labor
become a raisin in the sun.
Pain stays permanent,
Permeating through time;
The pinch of loss,
Can never be sufficed.

Pain surges periodically,
Often high in tide,
Crashing on shores of sympathy;
Bund that gap,
With all your might,
These sensations erode,
Cutting in the shape of your soul;
Gorging away your sane.

Pain pangs often,
Reminding of the times gone,
But in that memory,
Find inspiration to go on!

Pain pacifies loss,
Whence you derive,
Your reasons to smile,
In memories so close...
Dormant relationships bloom,
An evergreen garden!
Loosing the person you love, the one who matters you the most or a family member is painful. The road to recovery from such a tragedy needs tremendous courage. As we trudge along this trying phase, often we are subjected to sympathy that wanes our courage to face the facts of life.
But to remember our dear one, smile at the golden memories, recall all the sweet bygones and promises made then can serve as an inspiration towards a better and less painful tomorrow.
May be we should try this approach of healing rather than crying...after all pain and the absence of the person we love is permanent...
Eros has claimed another victim…

This I must admit, this sin.

This time it’s you, struck in the crossfire.

It must drain you much like a vampire.

I've seen your wretched purity.

I've seen your disconnected reality.

Mind like a lacrimosa, unexposed…

You wouldn't show it, but it floats,

fragile, sad, empty ghost.

You match my dreams…

you attract my screams.

For love and for hate…

It’s much too late.

You, angel with the tattered wings…

You, devil on my shoulder, enjoying and destroying me…

You’re the source of my euphoria…

You’re the source of my melancholia.

You’re a drunken kiss and a broken bliss.

What shall I do with this? Why has this all gone amiss?
Like fireflies against a black curtain,
The stars dance around the snowy-white moon.
Glowing brightly, like a lunar wild fire,
The full moon shines down on a field of purity.
Heavenly white blooms shimmering silver,
Like teardrops, they sparkle and shine.
A small gust blows and gentle chimes are heard;
The sweet melody of the majestic flowers.
Bittersweet thorns and melancholy leaves
Sway as if dancing in the striking moonlight.
'Tis the song heard in the field of the Twilight Rose.
I wrote this AGES ago back in November 2009. I don't write poetry very often at all anymore, though I used to now and then back in the day. Mainly because it was easier to get away with writing then it was to get away with drawing, though eventually, my teachers left me be, noticing that I was drawing to sate my ADHD and that I got good grades either way.

So this was based on a ****** doodle I made years ago... lol. Maybe some day I'll redraw it? *shrugs*

Hope you like it, if anyone ends up reading it <3  (I used so many adjectives, wow, lol)
Meet me in Valhalla
When the battle's done
The cries of enemies long slain
Have faded one by one
Hold my hand, brave brother
As our glory's crowned in blood
The sword strikes deep but still
Our souls will rise above the mud
O warrior, our destiny was
To fall in foreign lands
Within our veins flow rivers strange
Our mouths pour forth with sand
We do not fear the bitter dark
That waltzes round our eyes
Hold my hand, brave brother
Led by the Valkyrie we die
We march on toward golden shields
To fight under burning suns
Meet me in Valhalla
When the battle's won
Dark seeps into her crimson blood
Taunting him to come feed
The evil ripping through him
Building to a flaming need

Skin so cold it feels of ice
Drinking, eating in the dark of night
Soothing and singing
For her not to fight

Until shes pale and cant see
Until she wont cry
No evidence of her agony
She wont try

Silent, stealthy vampire
Blood dripping from throbbing fangs
The shell left of frozen death
No life, no breath
