He’s doing a crossword, I’m doing the dishes.
“What is that word?”, he asks,
“the one that means given to incessant laughter”.
“Joyful, gleeful, cheerful?”
‘No that’s not what I meant”
“Mirthful, merry, enjoyment”
“That’s just not it”
“Well, how many letters is it?”
(Now I’m getting interested)
“Eight”
“What does it begin with?”
“I haven’t got that yet, but it does end with a N”
“a N…Hmmm..Oh! I’ve got it”
“What?”
“I can’t remember-but its on the tip of my tongue”
“That’s not helping”, he adds with sarcasm
“I’m giving it all I’ve got but the word just won’t come”
“Try saying it in your mind,
what does it sound like?”

“Aquarium”
“So, its starts with an A?”
“Yeah, that’s for sure”
“We’ve got to find this lethologica of yours a cure!”
“I’ve got! I’ve got it! Abderian is the word!”

The word "lethologica" describes the state of not being able to remember the word you want. It is a psychological disorder. The related non-pathological condition is the "tip of the tongue" phenomenon. The above is an imaginary conversation.
Even when we think
We have control
Life has a way
Of showing us
Just how much our plans
Our are sense of control
Really matters
In this world
We must learn
To give up control
Understand
That things happen
As they happen
Things don't always
Go as planned
We can't keep trying
To control everything
Just let life flow
Understand the flow of life
Life will become
A lot easier
A soul diminished leaves a walking husk; empty, incapable and destined to implode. The vastness of desolation collapses the mind and stifles creativity. But even in these wet, moldy, slippery caves of dripping wax and faded light there is some hope. Even in these large empty sanctuaries of despair that are the psyche of the soulless: there lies a beam of pure light shining through a gap in the sorrow. Hold on to that light. Because beauty is everywhere, even in darkness. It just depends how good your eyes are.
Allow that calm
That only you can bring
Take away the hurt
Bring me to that peace
That inner well of strength
That only you can bring
Peace be still
Turn away
The troubles of the day
Just be still
I feel
I know
You are there
Calming me
Calming my spirit
Filling me
Peace be still
Calm my heart
Calm my mind
So I can move forward
Ready to fight
Another day
