Talking to you was always a waste of time, you didn't listen at all.
Talking to you was worthless, it was like talking to a brick wall.
I showed you a movie about a young boy who took drugs and then drowned in the swimming pool.
I thought it would scare you into stopping your drug use but you laughed instead, that wasn't cool.
Many years ago when my brother was at your house when we were young,
you used something that made you cough up black stuff out of your lungs.
That should've showed you how bad and dangerous drugs are, it should've been a wake up call.
But you continued to do drugs, talking to you was a dumb idea, it was like talking to a brick wall.
You would use any drug  that people would give you if they said it would get you high.
You got your hands on the wrong stuff and your luck ran out, and it caused you to die.
THIS IS A TRUE STORY ABOUT MY LATE FRIEND 'JOHN W. BROWN'.

Sweetie Pie - Part II
Randy Johnson Jan 2021
If somebody says that I don't care about my dog, it will be a lie.
On August 18, 2020, I bought my new dog and she's my Sweetie Pie.
She loves to lick my cheeks and my chin.
Hazel loves to lick me over and over again.
Hazel was what her former owner decided to name her.
She is very protective, she always barks at strangers.
I was very scared because Hazel became sick and I thought she might die.
But a vet saved her life and I'm very happy that I didn't lose my Sweetie Pie.

Coronavirus Prevention
Randy Johnson Mar 2020
People are afraid of catching the Coronavirus, we've seen better days.
What we should do is to take precautions and it won't hurt to pray.
Regularly use an alcohol-based hand rub or water and soap.
People can avoid catching this virus, we shouldn't give up hope.
Stay at least three feet away from people who cough or sneeze.
If we avoid touching our mouths, eyes and noses, it can help to prevent us from catching this disease.
When I went to a Shell Station, the sales clerk was wearing a mask.
I knew it was to protect her from the virus, I didn't even have to ask.
It's a bad epidemic and it's hard for people to cope.
Pray and take precautions and never give up hope.

You're Not A Christian
Randy Johnson Aug 2021
(This poem takes place in the year 1800)

You call yourself a Christian who has been saved.
But you're not a Christian because you have slaves.
Instead of freeing your slaves, slavery is something you choose to prolong.
If you were a Christian, you'd free them because Jesus said slavery is wrong.
When you pretend to be a Christian, it definitely makes God mad.
Because you can't see that you're a horrible person, it is very sad.
God and Jesus realize that slaves are precious human beings who should be free.
You're not a true Christian because If you were, you'd free your slaves immediately.
Owning fifty slaves makes you money and their hardship makes your purse swell.
I wouldn't want to be you because when you die, you might just go to Hell.

My Baby Doll - Part IX
Randy Johnson Jul 11
You were my baby doll and I owned you for almost seven years.
You were my all time favorite dog and I wish you were still here.
You were very special, wonderful and unique.
When I found you dead, it was sad and bleak.
I had to dig a hole and bury you in the ground.
I would be happier if you were still around.
You lost all of your teeth but I still loved you.
I'll never forget you and that is certainly true.

My Baby Doll - Part II
Randy Johnson Oct 2020
When you died, it brought about sadness, pain and tears.
You died three months ago today, that's a fourth of a year.
You died ninety-two days ago.
Your death was a devastating blow.

You have been dead for a little over thirteen weeks.
You had brown fur and you were special and unique.
On July the 11th, my heart was broken because you passed away.
You were my baby doll and your daddy will love you for the rest of his days.
Dedicated to Agnes (2011-2020) who passed away on July 11, 2020.
When Dad got Leukemia, he put up a fight.
He took chemo but lost his battle 12 years ago tonight.
After months of taking chemotherapy, he died.
He couldn't beat cancer even though he tried.
He died less than two hours before the fourteenth of July.
He was a good provider and that's something I can't deny.
When a person loses a parent, it's always sad.
Twelve years ago, I had to say goodbye to Dad.

Father's Day 2025
Randy Johnson Jun 15
If you hadn't held down a job, we would've been *******.
If you hadn't worked, we would've had no shelter or food.
You worked hard for years to keep a roof over our heads.
You became ill in 2011 and twenty months later, you were dead.
About three years after you retired, you died at the age of sixty-five.
Even though you had months of chemotherapy, you did not survive.
When I learned that you had Leukemia, I started to pray.
If you were still alive, I'd wish you a happy Father's Day.
Dedicated to Charles F. Johnson (1947-2013) who died on July 13, 2013
