The Morning After
Jun 1 Jun 8, 2026The heavy weeks pass. What's left is the small, the ordinary, the dishes. This week we practice re-entering our own lives, slowly, on purpose.
Write a small itinerary for re-entry.

Everyday I wake up I say ,Today is the day the Lord has made, let us be and rejoice be glad in it. Psalm 118:24 It sets the tone for my entire day.

Practice saying "I'm good, ta. How was your weekend?"
Smile, just enough.
Remember to bring my earpods to work so that I don't have to talk to anyone on lunch-break.

Sleep off the jet lag,
Rise a bit earlier—
Caffeine, protein, routine.
Write about the adventure;
Don’t forget to daydream.
Relive your big life, this time
with your doggie nearby for a snuggle.
Balance the ordinary with the extraordinary, and watch it become a jumble of special and a whole life of good.
And all will be well
If you only make it so.

7:30 Wake up
put a smile on everything is fine
8:00 breakfast
eat even though you don't want to..everything is fine
9:00 shower time
take the time to care for yourself.everything is fine
9:30 Go to group
participate, the more you smile the sooner you leave..everything is fine
11 school
sit in the little brick room, work hard, say nothing
..everything is fine
1:30 lunch
eat again and eat until you're too full
nothing is fine
go to bed early they'll keep you longer but who cares nothing is fine

Wake up get out of bed
Wash face
Struggle through the day
Watch TV
Going nowhere inside myself
This itinerary amounts to nothing
Choose the day when night slips
away
Life inside the shadows of going nowhere.
Just dreams of travel slip away into memories
of life once lived.

07:00
wake up.
ignore the empty side of the bed.
09:00
walk through familiar halls.
pretend they don't echo your name.
12:00
eat.
survival deserves a seat at the table.
15:00
visit old places.
leave before the memories settle beside me.
19:00
watch the sky darken.
accept that nothing waits for me anymore.
23:00
return home.
carry what still hurts.
destination:
tomorrow.
one step.
one breath.
one ordinary day at a time.

Wake the edges.
Name the ache.
Choose one ordinary thing and let it steady you.
Carry a single, gentle want in your pocket.
Step back into the world as if someone is sleeping.
Let your softness go first.
