I will speak
I will do what others cannot
I will be grateful
For the life I am given
In which I get to live in
I will brighten a day
A smile
Or two
I will show I am proud
Proud of who I am
Who i'm meant to be
Ill show faith
Bravery
and Care
To the world
In which I live
I will work hard
So I can deserve my life
The life I was given
I will sin
That is human
I will make mistakes
I will cry
And scream
Because I am human
I get to be human
I will do this week
Because some cannot

I carry everything, all the adult responsibilities because if I didn't no one else would. He pretends to be incapable, but it is actually unwillingness. If nothing else, it has made me strong and independent and totally capable of anything.

I will speak out
Because all you ever wanted was to be cared for
I will do this in memory of you.
I will lie on my back and look up at the sky
Like we did when laughing came naturally.
I will do this in memory of you.
I'll cry, scream, wish I could join you up there.
But I will learn to smile again.
Because that was your wish.
And whilst I sit alone, reading your goodbye for the 143rd time, I'm whispering what you needed to hear long ago.
I love you.
And I will always love the memory of you.

i will sit and smile
look back,
let the hint of the sun
as it peers down through the crack
bring me back to the same time
and i'd remember,
unashamed,
everything we were
and i'll see the light
show the dust in the air
i'll let myself raise my fingers
to try and touch your hair
you will fade
as the sunset will appear
and i will go back
to the world of blocks and gems
living the time
just like you were near
everything as promised

instead i will manipulate the stars
the sun the moon the sky
but never you
and i will not cheat during my test
and i will not cheat on you
but mostly i love without your shadow

As light recedes leaving a numbness
in me
Live inside the darkness
Hoping for better days
Trying to find a reason when depression
tells me lies
Trying to be thankful for a place to live
When others have tents to be in
Life is a struggle, as we all swirl within
So I will be me as others

I will walk the path they pointed toward
with the steadiness they deserved.
I will choose one act, small, human, ordinary,
and I will do it because they cannot,
and because I can.
