There once was a woman in bed
Who groaned, and cried and bled
Her daughter's last kiss
Was bitter sweet bliss
As the virus, to her, did spread
Another exercise we were given at uni was to attempt to write a serious limerick. It's still difficult to take seriously, given the rhythm of the poem, but here is my attempt.
