Along the thoughts that step forward then quickly leave
I keep the questions I hold in secret asleep
Breathing within the vines of all my scattered hopes
Even when lightning strikes my field of vision
These questions, I secretly keep

When the day comes I will softly smile in anticipation
The gaze of my eyes will meet your own
I will no longer wait to wake the questions I keep
In full daylight out of secret they will climb
No longer in my thoughts alone

Sometimes I hear these questions simply fading away
Beneath the green grass under my feet
Pushed completely out of my mind’s field of vision
Until the truth in my heart awakes to hear
These questions again, repeat
