sorrow's river
floods in tears
the weeping lasts
for many years

sadness staining
the hearts of the bereaved
with a constancy

the soul's eye
ever spills
torrents
of
loss
rising
waters
the
impost

consolation
comes
to
comfort
the
existing
as the inundation
subsides
into
healing
