Sep 2014
six months out
from her marriage
to a naval officer
her number was called
by God
she'd never marry
the man she loved
their plans for a life together
wasn't to be
Gail and David had dreams
yet none did they get to fulfill
God whisked Gail away
to heaven's embrace
her death bought David pain
and for years he feltย ย
the sadness of the rain's tearful stain
had God given
my sister Gail clemency
David and she would this day
be married happily
My sister Gail died of unknown causes six months before she was to marry.
