In the extreme, totally not on
Beating someone senseless on the brink of death
For terrorising someone to the point of breaking
Beating or neglecting an animal in your care
The small ugly voice inside me says
You deserve the same

Although it would take a worse person
To serve that justice ...

My primary voice says
On a simpler level
At the beginning of it all
When you are a child
Do not invest in it
Do not give it power
Do not tolerate it
Even if its not directed at you
You can do that

We need to teach our kids
To believe in themselves
Don't lie down and take it
We can all be strong
Even if you're physically weak
Self belief in words said is a powerful tool
That parts up to you ...
don't be a victim, be strong, you can do it!

a friend posted a photo on my facebook, beautiful 6 year old girl holding a sign 'i was bullied for wearing glasses, like if you agree bullying is wrong', Of course I think bullying is wrong, but I also think victim mentality is wrong, I was about to like when I thought again ... and wrote this poem ...
