I remember when I was just 13
I had dreams of getting shaded under a money tree.
But there was so much despair around
I started to worry I'd die in that town.
But then I had a dream in which I took solace,
A dream where I blew up like Chris Wallace.
I decided right then and there the sky's the limit
And it ain't just a phrase I live it.
And I can't change the world till I change myself
So I'm putting all this ******* on the shelf.
I knew that I had to go to any ends
Just to hold on to surviving friends.
We look up every night and thank our lucky stars
Cause we don't know how we made it this far
When we were just a public disturbance
Raised in a jungle that was urban.
But we on that 8 mile vibe now
We're gettin out, god knows how.
But we know now that the sky's the limit
And it ain't just a phrase, we live it.
