drenched in a blanket of flames
burning in the unforgiving immolation of disappointment
I reach out into the vacant space before me
through the embers I see scorching eyes
held in place by their own blistering inferno
imprisoned by the flames which hold them within
crying out as all which was cold within me burns
those eyes of compassion, love and jealousy
watch as the fire engulfs me completely
