The night is so dark and the road ahead is a
Thin white line leading to who knows where.

Always, always away from you and home
My escape from the meaningless things
That build our love that is at the heart
Of our life and gives me the strength to
Survive in this downtown wasteland.

You might say I should be used to this
After years and years as a travelling man.

But this **** just get harder every day
A part of life apart from you, wishing
I was with you now watching from
The side-lines as our life rushes by but
I know what I know that I love you.

You are my sunrise after my night.
