Now, I'm not saying I'm a star,
But it's taken every one quite a while
To honestly announce that I've burnt out
And quite accurately assume
That I was never shining to start with.
Behind the bluff and faux fur coats,
Reflective of my poker face,
I've known this since my conception
Pondering ways to, by chance,
Shine like a cubic zarconia
Unlike the diamonds
Imbedded in each and every one of your hearts.
I'd like to blame it on writers block, but the blame game is so political and I'm not into politics.
