Chewing this artificially flavored candy
I ponder the best way to phrase this
As my tongue explores the roof of my mouth
Parched and bitter with resentment
Dissecting emotions pulling them apart
Meanwhile I hope will sweeten the words
I’m about to exhale
Words that come with a bite and a sting
That aren’t afraid of dissent
Creating an unpleasant air
That even Lysol can’t mask
With its chemicals
And its poison
Filling up
Until both of us choke
On *******
