i always knew you liked
the blondes who dyed their hair black
and wore shirts that showed a little
too much cleavage
better than the natural brunettes
who had scars on their chests
from heart transplants
so instead
i'm going to shave my head
and pray that poppies
grow from my scalp
and dandelions sprout between the
healed over stitches and hope that
maybe then i'll appeal to your senses

but we both know that won't work
because i'm just an overgrown ****
in your garden of plastic roses.
