my tub is the ocean

The water rose

I discarded my clothes

The warm moonlight traveled over my skin

A sob escaped my mouth

Walked through the water

Floated on waves

The stars danced under my gaze

They fluttered and sang

I couldn’t escape the water

It carried me away from land

Further and further away

Then I was alone

I drained the tub

I planned to do it again.
