A Moment Is Not A Lifetime

She might have noticed me

She found a reason to look again

I gave her a very slight smile

But her pride made no sound

Why does it happen

That a stranger can wake you up

We will never see one another again

Still, we remember dreams walking around

A dream walker

Is it life's answer?

Is the mystery is better?

Let’s not ruin the fantasy

Keep walking no talking now

That’s how we’ll live this day

That one’s not coming back

But there will be others

Searchers for the mystic

In the eyes of a stranger

It’s as if knowing you would make it fail

How could you live up to the magic?

There’s so much more to life

Than an image that’s so graphic

A dream walker

Is it life's answer?

Is the mystery is better?

Let’s not ruin the fantasy

Keep walking no talking now

That’s how we’ll live this day

How could a lifetime with someone

Compete with a moment so perfect?

So many of my faults are known to you

Yet you stay because your heart is true

That is the perfect love

Trusting and loyal to the end

I could never walk away from it all

Because an image is not a friend
