Blooming

Some people are the sunset, brief and gold

But you are like the breaking of the dew

A story that has never quite been told

A world that’s always blooming, always new.

I find I’m leaning toward you, like a leaf

That’s spent too long in shadows and the cold

Because your spirit offers such relief

A grace too bright and vivid to be told.
