Inner voice

It’s not enough to want

I could die trying

To find the answers

My soul is vying

For a better understanding

For a clear thought

No conclusion’s satisfying

But with pain wrought

Contemplating the hours

Questioning everything

I am stifled

By what time brings

And the inescapable notions

Of day and night

Yet I try not to overhthink

Or self-prophesize

But inevitably I do

And sometimes i'm right

Nightmares become real

In this blinding twilight
