I shook hands with my son today as we played
The greatest game of golf
Ever
Till yesterday when I shook hands with my bud as we played
The greatest game of golf
Ever
Then I remembered the last game I played with my father before he left this world And that too was
The greatest game of golf
Ever
In fact every single game of golf I've ever played has been
The greatest game of golf
Ever
And with all that in my mind I realise how everyday is
The greatest day in my life
Ever

There is no second chance
A time to wish again
Be sorry for my faults
So be there many
See the time
So today shall be my greatest day
Ever
As I turn to my wife as she breaths gently from her softness in sleep
When I wake to the sounds of breakfast made
Hear my dog prancing for food

Today shall be the greatest day
Ever
When I laugh in the mirror
At a face
Not pretty or fine
Yet today is another
To eat lunch all together
Watch footy
See our son play his best
How lucky
My test

Today shall be the greatest day
Ever
When we all sit at home
Laugh
Moan the groan
Say night till the morn
As the greatest day
Ever
Becomes
A new dawn
