A New World Learns to Hear

The storm of change is rising strong

As twilight gathers near.

The old ways drift to silent rest

While a new world learns to hear.

So let our voices echo still,

A last lamenting cry,

For the time of the old way’s will

Has finally passed us by.

The memories we treasure most

Of days we used to know

Are embers fading as the host

Of midnight starts to grow.

So let us raise our voices then,

A soft and fading song,

For the time of the old way when

We walked with it is gone.

Though shadows fall behind our stride,

The horizon calls us on.

With seeds of hope now sown inside,

A brighter dawn is born.

So let us lift our voices high,

A clear, ascending cry,

For the dawn now rising in the sky

Will guide us as we try.

The end of an era greets us now,

But a new dawn soon will rise,

And together we will make our vow

Beneath the brightening skies.
