Speaking

Words and letters

Stacked upon each other,

to make full-blown sentences and songs.

notes all tethered

by accents and slurs

stacked upon each other

to make full-blown lines of music in songs

my brain

scrambling for a melody

my brain

thinking so fast

It comes naturally

I know exactly what notes to hit

and when to hit them

I know exactly what I want to say

and how to say it

but out loud,

speaking,

conversations,

It's so different.

I just wanna cry,

And I wanna scream,

And I wanna run,

And I wanna sing.

till my lungs give out and I cannot breathe.

I wanna talk,

till everyone knows

The same thing goes

with this heart that's about to burst

and shatter and break

because I think that's better than loneliness
