Antiquated Plants
have you ever noticed
how antiquated plants
become so root bound
and prove to be difficult
to remove from the ground
their roots settle so closely
and they wish not to be
set free unto liberty
releasing them from this tightly matted state
would enable other root systems to congregate
but alas they never
untangle
and ultimately
the roots
will of each other
strangle
My sister who is an avid gardener, has had trouble getting her root bound plants out of their pots.
