Slumber When You're Deceased

Another dreary dawn creeps so easily to greet my weary eyes

Another day gone with leaps and bounds along promised lies

A plodding pawn, time seeps into the illusion of sells and buys

An infectious yawn, the sun sleeps dreaming of the time to rise

But Darkness shall find a way to always respawn

A chatterbox who never stops just going on and on

A curmudgeony old man screaming get off my lawn!

A cartoon character erased for being too withdrawn

So what...... what is Next?

That will always perplex

I'm just too stressed

Well get that **** off your chest

I just need more rest

Well, take my bed, be my guest

But you're the cousin of death.

Yes, but nonetheless, what if you're unable to sleep after you're dead?

I suppose with my last breath.

I'll feel truly blessed and count on the afterlife to finally get ahead.

Well said, but just you wait, heaven's plate has the very best spread.

So it's never too late to procrastinate, and we eternally break bread?

Well, the food is good, but the library will truly satiate your fate.

Sound's great, but how long can I stay, and what's exactly the rate?

For you?

For me

Let's just say...free

I see

Ok, let me sleep on it.
